I don't get out on the road as much as you do Jeepsy, But I just got back from a solo road trip to South Dakota. Driving through the flat wide open prarie lands may seem boring, but I could'nt help but think that this is the land the plains indians loved as their home for generations. This flat expanse of land once had vast herds of Bison so large they would tramp down the grass in mile wide swaths clear out to the horizon and beyond. I can't explain why...but I do love it.

I'm so happy for you, this Jeep will be much less tiring to drive and cheaper on gas. New and totally reliable. Looking forward to seeing the build you've done on this one. I would think your old Jeep is worth a fair amount as it's all set up for rock climbing. I'm thinking of getting a newer truck. I know, I've faced it many a time myself, lost friends to it, lost loved ones... it's horrible. But am grateful for the love and kindness I've felt with life, Life is wonderful and uplifting. I think you've made a great decision. Your new Jeep will serve your traveling and recovering need much better without the anxiety as your reliability concerns are gone. I occasionally run into a dozen or so "Jeeper" out and about. The last was a group that passed me as I was sitting on a rock taking my shoes off for a water crossing. A few even asked if I wanted a ride to the other side!!

I think this jeep is going to be great for you. It's more of a road vehicle that will enable you to get off road but will also take you a long way on tarmac. This is definitely much better. Can't wait to see where you go in this. Also, this seems a hardtop which is also so much better.

Great video, I'm glad you have a more road worthy Jeep. Everytime I saw you driving on highways I always remember my lifted Jeep. At the time I had it I lived in the mountains but ninety percent of my driving was highway driving, and it was very unstable, especially when the wind blew, which was eighty-five percent of that ninety percent of my highway driving.

Thank you for sharing amazing memories and I am very happy for you that you made the big decision. Very hard to let her go. I recently sold my wife’s car, which I’ve kept for 8 years as her memory. (She passed away) I kinda knew I would have to let it go someday. OK WJ , this is not the time of year but there are simular places in AZ that could be used in the colder months BUT come late spring to summer and early fall the places to keep in mind in your travels to help you get back to being whole again are available in NV , WY , ID , Co, and other states . My favorites are #1 a Quaking Aspen grove with a "chuckling" creek running through and #2 a Pinon pine forest , both for serenity and solotude for have a meanigful conversation with the Man Upstairs and finding a solution to a problem . I loved central Nevada for that when I lived in Fallon , NV for a lot of years . Hope you can use this . Harry in AK , take care .
