I would like to do some of the exploring you have done in Arkansas. I am from Sheridan. I wonder where to start. Or in other words where did you get the maps of the state parks and national forests?

Being as far south as you are anywhere in the Ouachita National Forest is a great place to start. Once you get up in the ozarks there's more water crossings and tight trails. We run gaia gps on most of our outings. When I got started I just done tons of research using Google maps and watching other people's videos of areas I wanted to check out. Google is your best friend when looking up state parks. But mainly I just tell everyone to just get out there and explore. You never know what you'll come across. Just check online for the National Forest motor vehicle usage map to make sure the trails are legal. Hope that helps?
