Love it! Everything is so practical, really shows you don't have to overthink things or give up the down payment for your house to go overlanding and experience the outdoors!

Sweet 1st gen! I’m I’m in the process of setting up my 1st gen as a full time over landing. For the rear springs I went with All pro expedition springs and I love em! 👍🏼😊

I’m trying to decide between the extended cab and the 4 door Tacoma. Since I’m single I can go either way. If I wanted to keep it for a lot of years what would you recommend? Do you like better cab size or bed length? I know I can’t go wrong with a Tacoma. Just your thoughts.

I know. I wanted a 4 door one so badly(had one in high school) but the only ones a could find in my state were 200k+ miles in terrible condition and the prices were so high. I just bit the bullet with Covid interest and got a 2020 TRD Off-Road. Still every time a see a mint 1st gen my heart longs for it.

Love your videos! Just curious how your Tacoma does on steep inclines. I've heard some can be pretty sluggish and I'm deciding between going with the Sequoia (V8) or a 1st/2nd Gen Tacoma. Would love to go with the Tacoma if it can handle the hills during the drives with the added weight of all of the overland add-ons. Thanks for doing what you do! :)
@thomasstrickland0 Жыл бұрын
Mine has a 3.4 V6 however adding a second transfer case will give you extra low gears great for crawling, without needing a V8. If you’re going the V8 route a first gen Tundra should fit.

@OverlandUnderBudget5 жыл бұрын
Hey Thanks! Wheels are stock toyota steel wheels. These are the same as the spare tire wheel that comes with the truck. Tires are the super popular BFG ko2's in 285/75r16 which is about 32.6 inchs tall.
