1 there's only two educational institutions in the entire kingdom And that's only if you count the gerudo region as part of the Kingdom. Which to be fair it's technically its own separate kingdom making hyrule an empire. One of them barely counts. Just use the Finnish tax system Only entrepreneurs have to file their own taxes in Finland and the state has it done for everyone else after they send their tax info to the employer. You only have to check your taxes when you have irregular income. Also Link is the bulk of the military so he should be getting a cut of the budget in his disposal He may not need roads or schools, but should he get paid from the defense budget (which he should for doing most of the military work), he would be taxed appropriately if he just sent his tax info card to the crown just like any employee in the Finnish tax system. Also is trade tax free in hyrule or do prices include value added tax Furthermore Link is canonically more powerful than the IRS (he can beat ganon, the strongest monster thing in existence AND his entire army), he can overthrow it and together he and zelda can rule the kingdom
