When I was 18 my graduation present was a shopping spree at an army surplus store in Portland Oregon followed by a 3 day backpacking trip into the Cascade wilderness. It rained all 3 days and was the best time of my life living under a tarp and eating boiled beans and jerky. Cheers!

The rain is the EXACT reason for liking this tarp. The 3-4" overlap on the tie outs keeps the rain off you. With less space. Just love the tarp. Ratnik or what ever you call it, it is the best design I have seen on the market. I want one. And will get one. As I can afford one. Then again if they are is stock?

Yeah brother. Been a few times now. This trip, something was hanging out in the trees about 100 yards in front of my shelter. Let me know it was there as I was turning in for the night.
