An overnighter at Kearvaig bothy during my hike on the Cape Wrath Trail in August 2017. I was hiking with my dutch buddy, Thomas. A total of 7 people appeared at the bothy that night, amazing place but very remote.
Bothy advice: If you are visiting a bothy folks, remember and take out your rubbish when you leave, there is no cleaner on duty!

KZbin algorithms suggested this again, so gave it a watch again. I got to visit Kervaig last May after doing the Cape Wrath Trail, you often popped into my head.

There are hundreds of Bothy's in Scotland. Just leave it as you found it, that's all that's asked (and maybe a packet of biscuits) ;)

Funny coincidence. I live in Cornwall and I've visited Balnakeil craft village a few times. Never heard of Kearvaig, but as soon as I saw the beach at the start of the vid I thought that looks like similar sea views I saw from Balnakiel. It could've been anywhere but googling showed that they are at least close. As soon as you mentioned Cape wrath I wondered.

3:07 Absolutely not, please do leave some foodstuffs - pack them in airtight containers, hang them - dry is best - but please DO eave some foodstuffs, matches, some firewood and - i often leave ale or whisky - you never know in what condition someone msy need a bothy - that small food could be well needed if lost, and in some difficulty - you may need sustinance.
