Nice Bill, Thanks for the video ... and BTW, nice stump placement for winching... Bet that was an almost pucker factor for the driver. What wall canopies are you guys using. Some of them look pretty stout
@MonsterJeep3 жыл бұрын
@@rcjeepers...yeah, for the most part it just depends on which style you get. Mine is a Caravan 10x10 canopy. When their new, they are pretty taunt and sturdy...after time they tend to loosen up. The gray one was new.

I am assuming the road up to La dee Flat is now open? There were barriers near the highway forever.
@MonsterJeep3 жыл бұрын
At the time of filming this video it was still closed. We went in via SE Tumala Mountain Road (NF-4614) and connected to Abbott Road (NF-4610) by NF-4613. My understanding is that 224 is open now past the NF-4610 entrance. 👍

Very cool adventures man. Question, do you find it better to have high or low tire pressure when plowing some really high snow like that 🤔

@mouthfarts60723 жыл бұрын
@@MonsterJeep what psi you recommend for 33’s
@MonsterJeep3 жыл бұрын
@@mouthfarts6072, it's more about the type of wheel than the tire size. For a standard wheel you are usually pretty safe to air down to 10 psi. With a double beadlock wheel, I routinely run 4 psi and can go lower, but it can be bad for the sidewall and the inside of the tire to run at less than 4 psi.

Was that hambone springs where you camped does the road go all the way through to high rocks and forest creek campground
@MonsterJeep3 жыл бұрын
I'm not exactly sure if the spot we camped at has a name. We were just off Abbott Rd. a little ways past the gravel pit. Abbott Road (NF-4610) does go all the way through to High Rock, but I think there is a barrier across the far end right now. When we went out snow wheeling, we made it almost to the wash-out before we turned around. Always good hearing from you Woodchuck, thanks for the comment. : )

@@MonsterJeep I remember taking my 47 willys through the washout before it got closed I don't know if it finally went downhill
@MonsterJeep3 жыл бұрын
@@woodchuck243...the washout is still there and it keeps sliding over the years. The Forest Service just keeps fixing it every now and then and we just keep making do in the meantime. I think they just fixed it in the last year or two again.

Which way did you guys go to get into Abbott Rd?
@MonsterJeep3 жыл бұрын
Kyle...I think you can go in the main way now (I believe NF-4610 just opened up via 224). We went in off of SE Tumala Mountain Road (NF-4614) and cut over to Abbott road via NF-4613.
