The Cummins 6.7 type fitted on all models after 2007 are not Tridents.

Absolutely cooked this one to its death😅. That cooling fan was among the most noticeable when stationary as if it was gasping for air.

Yes, had a very loud electric fan which went straight to full speed whenever the bus was in motion. Probably a patch for the heat generated from the transmission!

Beginning to show their age in the same way the 51 plate TAs did! This one reminds me of the likes of 9757 and 9770!

I bet the load sensor or lock up is knackered. Ex London Stagecoach Euro 2 ZF Trident's were bad for slipping gearboxes.

Yeah a lot of them did it, also B7TLs of a similar age to those Tridents. A lot of ZF boxed buses between W and 51 plate were prone to it, not terribly common from 02 plate onwards.

This is not a load sensor issue as the throttle input would be delayed, your right this is a lock up issue

Reminds me of the 51 plate TAs, some of which used to get through gearboxes like nobody’s business!

Alot of these at Merton doing the same thing as well. A shame that these at various garages are starting to overrev, shows how long it's been since these were new

I heard about that! Wasn’t burning, a screw was loose, cause an air leak and brakes to lock on. Once tightened up it got going again.

It was good once but the speed limiter and acceleration restrictions made a comeback!

There’s more power available after leaving a gear at a high rev - it’s strong in the second clip but fairly weak in the third one. Takes some getting used to!

Usually the extra whine from the engine revs drowns the actual bass
