my tip is to not be scared to do weird shit, like your track doesnt have to have a generic structure, progression, or rhythm depending on style limitation. your track will benefit from standing out, giving it its own character and interest in general.

Really great tips in this video, a bad habit of mine is to not be patient and not making/using presets. Many producers have a unique sound because they make presets and sound packs which would fit the style that they are going for. Getting into the habit of optimizing your workflow will give you more time to produce and improve in it

this was an excellent video! i would love if you did a similar video about bass patterns/flows and how they tie into bass types (Yoinks or basses that are good on the 1, vs. supporting basses, etc.). May be too complicated of a subject to pick out techniques/generalities (it may be one of those things where the rule is "if it sounds good then it is good"), but just a thought.
