Great show, you guys always scratch that Atari retro itch for me! Got myself an 800XL (modded with VBXE, SIDE3, U1MB) - built by FlashJazzCat. Also have an STE with TOS 2.06, SideCART(ridge) and the obligatory PSU repaired with newer parts. Difficult getting anything Atari here in Australia, but that won't stop me! Long time since my last contact, doubt you remember, but I was the guy that sent the AI-generated lyrics to Into The Vertical Blank song. Keep it going guys!

Very interesting stuff here, there’s no reason why Chaos Engine couldn’t have included DMA sfx etc :/ The magazine bit was great. I remember buying that!! Tbh I still walk into newsagents today and a part of me hopes to see ST mags on the shelves sigh…. Great video both ❤

Started grabbing some 2600 carts myself since getting a 7800 Pro System in a trade. Have noticed some non Atari games don't fit into the cartridge slot due to the slot plastic (the model I have does have the expansion slot on the side). I did grab the 7800 re-releases on impulse after seeing the prices of the original versions but they are fun games so I'm really enjoying the hardware.

My Overscan overview: you guys deserve a week off, but glad you did not take it. I got my copy of iWoz from eBay; a nice hard bound former library book in great shape. I actually have a copy of the “pick a fight” ad I bought a few years ago. Someone pulled it from a video game magazine from back in the day and I definitely thought it was worth adding to my collection. (I only have a loose copy of Xenophobe out of those games). I somehow missed Super Bug in the arcade so it was cool to see that. Look forward to the next Overscan!
