As for the reference I'm not really sure what you exactly are looking for, so here are for now some link that might help you understand the usage of it. API: api.symfony.com/3.4/Symfony/Component/Serializer/Normalizer/ObjectNormalizer.html (you can also look for the code on github to stay up to date for the latest commits and changes). Creating A custom normalizer: symfony.com/doc/current/serializer/custom_normalizer.html (This example contains the usage of ObjectNormalizer so you might take a thing or two from this, also it covers registering the normalizer at the bottom of the page, if you have autowiring enabled which is the default configuration then you don't have to worry about that) symfony.com/doc/current/serializer/custom_normalizer.html : this last link is he main "How to use the serializer" page, in there you wil see how they registered the GetSetMethodNormalizer, but you can just change that to the object Normalizer or use your own custom one if you want.
