Funniest thing for me is the fact that Avdotya, despite her elegant appearance suggests, is actually the one getting the short end of the stick most often. From getting knocked out briefly by Gavial and Zumama, then carried away by them to jump from an extremely high platform, guilt-tripped by Edge (and triggered by Gavial) to represent Zeruertza in the swimming contest, got swamped by Stitch's boat wake, called a dummy by robots, then finally getting sold out to R.I by a drunk Croque!

one particular Avdotya line that strike me the most, and perhaps one of the best line in the game. "Truth be told, I didn't immediately understand why they loved their drink so, but I did eventually come to realize. We only drink in excess when hope is lost, and a forever stagnant, easy life can lose us hope as well as anything." that is a realization, a lament and a come to term in on line. truly what a great line, it's full of an opinion to human nature, it's also a realization that her "paradise" is not one from fairy tail and that she has to make peace with it

It's also kind of a backhanded comment because the stereotype of Russians being heavy drinkers comes from how the tsars actively cultivated and encouraged alcoholism in the masses to better control the people. Something which was picked up and continued by both the Soviets and then Putin with only very brief intermissions. Aka you can get away with further abusing your people if they're too numb and drunk to do anything about it. But yeah Avdotya comes from a culture that while heavy drinkers and it being a socio-cultural tradition is also very much aware as a noble and what her own family is implied to have had its hands in as well as their eventual fate that for them there was always a sense of bitterness and despair beneath it all. "That's just how it is and how it will always be so why not drink your worries away?" And then being forced to confront and really look at some aspects of the culture she's come to identify with just as much if not more than her original and realized that the Durins love of drinking comes from a similar sentiment (if from the opposite end). Not to say that she and many of the Durin *aren't* alcoholics who love their drink and will reach for one no matter the time, place or their mood. But rather that the cultures that helped create and nurture said traits are similar in that respect. It's also imo a further sign of maturity and growth on her part as many of the Durin comment as they love and respect her as one of their own citizens, she's lived there for over a decade and is fully Durinpilled so to speak but also that in a way she's been self conscious and putting them on a pedestal. But yes, seemingly at least there does seem to be a general lack of stimuli for many Durin which they try to stave off with spontaneity, those figures who are bursting with imagination and things they want to do and share with the world, etc. At least for the peoples of Zeruertza I doubt that'll be a thing for much longer given the entire new surface world they have to learn about and experience even in the boonies like Acahualla.

IMO, this is the first event where most enemies (trident guy, water cannon, Minimalist big ass drone) do not even pose as enemies in lore (in Dosseles, most enemies appear in story) Minimalist boss is somewhat representation for Minimalist’s dilemma. It’s the only aerial boss, detached from the norm of other Durin “enemies”, just like how Minimalist pushes himself away from the people.

The story really took a turn for drama halfway through, and the final chapter really spoke deeply to me on a personal level. Master Finch’s words to him were what my younger self would have needed to hear, it was like relearning a hard lesson from years ago. I didn’t think I’d care much for minimalist at first but he’s gonna join my roster soon.

Honorable Mention: by the size of it, Zeruetza actually classified as a Geofront (underground facility that has enough Ecosystem to sustain life cycle without direct sunlight) The only notable Geofront in anime/manga is the NERV Geofront from NGE And if you want to count other games, there is an underground Metropolis *literally called GEOFRONT* Made by super-corp Neucom from Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere

Durin is truly the only pure and wholesome country left on terra, I’m convinced. I actually sympathize with Pozemka being so protective of them. They are as innocent as children and easy for bad people to exploit

Story is mostly lighthearted, and i like it. After what had happened in Lingering Echoes, a story like this is needed. Also, Ideal city is totally a prequel/sequel of Stultifera Navis: Water-based event, Elysium in the story, has enemies that dodges 90-100% of attacks (except Durins are not immune to Arts), and has moving objects that we could modify and use against the enemies.

TL;DR A Durin architect named Stitch Canvas goes to the surface in search of his Master, then he stumbles into Tomimi, Inam and Elysium and asks them for help telling his Durin City is on the edge of a catastrophe, but in fact more than a catastrophe is more like its citizens are a bunch of idiots who are drunk 24/7 and instead of electing a capable architect to revamp the previous dome protecting the city, they rejected Stitch and elected another idiot who made a gigantic WATER SLIDE so they could be on a perpetual summer vacation while impending doom awaited in some unexplored nearby caverns. In face of the soon exploding originium veins there is a lot of drama and they return to Stitch Canvas to repair the dome and escape to the surface. Oh yeah Pozemka, Gavial and Eunectes are there too.

In lore its Stich running away from Gavial and Catch with Deculture aiding him by sending all the robots to obstruct Gavial due to her being his bestie (and being heavily implied to be in love with him) and being willing to help him run away even if she knows its not good for him in the long run. Its also why after he gets up after being stunned from falling out of the robot he just Crownslayer's through everything. Lore wise Gavial is more stuck because she doesn't want to bust the things because Eunectes likes them and considers them her friends before big braining and announcing that she's Eunectes friend too so can they please stop because she's not going to hurt Stich.
