Happy Valentine's Day. When I married my Filipina wife in 1970, on our wedding night I noticed a pouch hung on a string around her waist. She told me it was filled with rock's and was an anti-curse pouch because she wouldn't marry this Filipino guy he got a Witch Doctor to put a curse on her. We still have it put away after over 51 years. She is the best thing that ever happened to me. She treats me better as time's go by. I'm only 5 years older than her. Have a good one.

Why don't you live by God's Word? It is life and truth.. Read the Bible every day. Fill your house with Jesus and not all that darkness. Why do Christian people hold Valentine as something loving when it is essentially something sick and perverse. like having a sexual relationship with your mother... Live in the light

It seems that you need to educate your wife on how to feed your kids healthy breakfast and food in general. Too much sugar on that cereal with syrup and not milk. Meatloaf with rice and no veggies? You as a parent should do the right thing for your kids. Growing up, my Mom was very particular about healthy eating and lifestyle. Which I adapted in raising my kids. So don't turn a blind eye on your wife's shortcoming coz you have a part in doing the right thing. Goodluck in raising your family.

husband speaking - my mother used to get up at 5am, make a pot of coffee, 8 cups, -write a letter to my brother who was in the Navy - 1955 or 56. Do what ever else until it was time to get my dad up for work, as Forman for the Everett PUD. Make another pot of coffee, oh yes and get me up for jr. high school. Make breakfast, then take my dad to work and drop me off at school which was only 6 blocks or so away. I always walked home, 2 miles or so, rain or shine or snow. She would get home, more coffee and clean house and maybe have to go shopping. One more thing, in our old home in Edmonds, Wash. 1945 thru 47 she had to start a fire in the furnace to heat the home.

The only one I know of in America is a lucky clover and a horse shoe . I only found out in the last ten years that the horse shoe has to be with the ends pointing up so the luck does not run out. The four leaf clover was said to be lucky cause it was unlike the common three leaf clovers.

The history of man throughout the world. Everyone descended from people that danced around a fire. Heavily wooded places created a greater fear. Imagine living in a jungle. I saw a video of an uncontacted tribe in the Amazon. They were basically teenagers that survived a massacre by loggers. No adults left and these kids survived. They were scared of the jungle and wanted out. But they were also scared of the modern people. It hasn't been that many generations that Phillipinos came out of the jungle. Hundreds or thousands of small tribes scattered across the islands. I read that many were from Taiwan and were headhunters. I would have been horrified trying to hide from those tribes. Superstition might keep you alive. Imagine the horrors of Japanese occupation. These are survivors of so many atrocities. Tough people.

Hello I hope all is well I was asking my filipino family about this emblem It is called a Habak Very prominent in the Visayan islands They were saying it could be a number of things Depending on what the elders say most likely medicinal plants herbs or even a bullet That has been blessed by their holy man This belief goes back thousands of years They were also saying that every island shares somewhat similarities. It could be a different emblem worn in a different way with different ingredients I find it fascinating as well .

#3 superstitions - my wife's knees hurt, you need to wrap 9 leaves around the leg at night. The number has to be correct, why, they couldn't tell you. Probably some old person generations ago was selling these leaves and 9 sounded good. My wife is 75, a Masters degree from college, has been in the U.S. for 47 years but Phil. culture still rules.

My dad carried a pouch with a rock inside and he was not nice when he gets mad ,I think it makes them evil with a little superpowers my dad knows Filipino martial arts so it even makes him untouchable even when he’s drunk he will tell anyone to stab him in a party gathering and no one can’t get him because the rock is like evil you can’t get hurt by anyone and even my oldest brother tried to kill my dad because he was a crazy drunk man when he’s drunk and when he discipline’s my siblings he would beat the shit out you like there’s no tomorrow with a whip or spear shaft , but when my brother tried to kill him when he was asleep my dad was already waiting for him around on the stairs like he was awake,I guess that rock that he carries is like you have a person with you all times and will alert you if something is going to happen and when he came to America Hawaii Maui to move because my mom is American citizen and when he partied like he was still in Philippines and drove home drunk with one of my siblings which he was supposed to be the designated driver lol but my dad ended up driving and driving on the wrong side and cops are chasing him and then he pulled over and three cops tried to arrest him and they all ended up on the ground and my brother was crying and telling him stop and then he surrendered lol all I can say he was a crazy bisaya lol but rest in peace to my dad he died from cancer of the liver for drinking too much hards alcohol, I guess the rock couldn’t block that one
