Overtime as a bus driver

Join me on Monday as I work Overtime on the 464 doing a longer than normal duty, we look at the effects that it has on the driver and how they cope with it.

Hi Ant I havnt done any overtime in my job for a couple of years now enjoy my holidays too much. I always get reminded when I see what time you start work in the morning sorry I would be late for work a lot. Stay safe mate

Yea it's a crazy time to start and it's kinda Sometimes kills me off for the rest of the day but I keep going. I wanted to buy some more equipment for the channel

Hey ant next time I see you in rawtenstall could I ask can I get a picture of me in the cab of a 464 versa just make sure Vicki is not there she would go through the roof. I’m on a quest now to get a picture of me in the cab off every type of bus in Lancashire and Manchester

They much better than the paper as they can't go missing however a big issues we have with them is finding the defect and writing comments in so yea. Once you get use to it they are a better System

@@anthonyleecooke yeah your not the first person to say that and they do go missing! A couple junkies in Rochdale managed to get one apparently god knows what they did with it

Got a question, as the 464 & 481 are diverting over the bypass for Rochdale or Bury when you drived the bus for the first time over the A56 bypass did driving a bus have any threatening affects etc or were you find doing it as I know you probably won’t be used to it I don’t think anyone would driving a bus anyways unless you drives the X43 Whichway anyways when the did the bypass run for the first time did it have any effect feelings or were you fine with it? I think the biggest thing you become aware of is how open it is and how the bus reacts differently but in our training we did do a lot on the motorway just to get used to how badly you get blown around. I would say that that the biggest difference to it

@@anthonyleecookeok thanks for the reply I understand and get that yes quick question which council are the 464 and IrwellLine controlled and funded by LancsCC or OffcialTfGM? I know the 7, 8, 10, 11, 12 are LancsCC.
