I left my hair off when I saw that you put an extender on the backside of the flyer. Mine is the exact same size and you don't want II left my hair off when I saw that you put an extender on the backside of the flyer. Mine is the exact same size and you don't want I can't get really good consistent plies and I think it's cause I I'm not getting good wool. I was paying off a car loan. It was a little more than I burned me off a little bit. I think both the car dealer got me up paying more than I wanted to in the bank said oh well some more money will we loan you another $600, I paid that six year loan off in four years . Thank you for the video.. I live in Wisconsin I got most of my wool from Susan's fiber shop is a coriander right? I think she has quite a few coriander in her flock. The last time I bought wolf from her at I'm pretty sure that's what I mostly spun off of. .and I got some some from Utopia fires and Viroqua. It was very nice I would like that. I've been very impressed with that all shop owners thank you anyone that supplies us craft people with, please don't overcharge us. And then I got I cried my eyeballs out I can't take super economical fleece from a farm on the edge of town like 10 minutes away highway, but they quit hearing them because they're going to quit hearing them. Just won the best fleece award in Wisconsin year before. that was a shorter fleece with a greater wiggly mess. I forgot the word it's been maybe 5 years since I've spun, Family kept me pretty busy the past few years..

THANK YOU! This has been the best overview I have found. QUESTION: What is the cardstock you placed on the bobbin for?

Thanks so much! I put the card stock there to give me just a little more room on the bobbin. I have found this is especially helpful when plying.

So how often do u need to oil the spinning wheel like twice a week or everyday?
@spincrochetrepeatrcc89612 жыл бұрын
Many people oil their wheels each time they spin. I try to do mine at least once a month and then extra anytime anything starts rubbing or squeaking. Oil at any point where things move against each other. I use mineral oil commonly found in the medication section of a store.

I used to have one and loved it. I also had the large flyer, but recently dropped it and it broke! Do you know where I can get another one?

I don't 😞. But perhaps Bobbin Boy can help you? Look them up on Facebook!

What should i used to clean the spinning wheel if its really old?
@spincrochetrepeatrcc89612 жыл бұрын
First I would research what type of wood it is and find a gentle cleaner that's appropriate for that type of wood. Mine was fairly clean when I purchased it but I did do a good rub down to remove dust and grime with a dry wash cloth. I would get as much of this off as I could without using products first, then look into a mild cleaner or polish that's appropriate for the type of antique wood that it is.
