Outstanding video, very helpful. Question how do you adjust and/or replace the pulleys? Ducar should have your video on their website. Thank you for doing this video.

@@Prospector1300 Thanks for watching. The pulleys are pretty easily removed if needed, the one on the engine is just the single bolt (RH thread) and a set screw on the shaft and the one on the drum is a single bolt (LH thread). You may need to use a puller to get them free of the shafts. And as far as adjusting them goes usually you can adjust the belt alignment sufficiently by just shifting then engine in the elongated slots it is mounted to.

Excellent video! The unit looks well made and seeing videos of it operating it looks like it is much more practical than the Champion 338 and other competitors. Admittedly it is twice the price of the Champion but a fraction of the cost of other 15-20 hp machines. I wonder about durability though. What tends to break on them and how long do the belts last?

We have been selling these for 8 years now, and with over 250 of them sold I can say confidently they have been quite durable. If you do regular maintenance: oil changes, grease, blade sharpening / reversing / replacing as needed and belt adjustments the only parts that tend to need replacing are the consumables: blades and drive belts. The drive belts generally seem to be lasting several years before needing replaced. Thanks for watching!

Just got one of these. Id say its more of a 4 inch chipper. 5 inches is just too much. Stalls out on 5 inch. But a good chipper so far.

I always say they will chip up to approximately 2.5" branches as fast as you can load them in, anything larger than 2.5" will require reduced feed speed to maintain chipping drum RPM.

Thanks, great video I wanted to change the engine oil but the drain plug is kind of innacesible in the front. Do you need something special for the oil change or I missed something?
@farmerequipment
@farmerequipment 5 ай бұрын
You’re right, the oil drain is not in a very convenient location and it will run out over the frame when draining. I usually use a pump and suck it out through the fill hole to avoid the mess. Or you could look into an extension, something like the “Drainz-it”. Thanks for watching.
