I adore seeing the collection in overview prior to individual since I can get an idea at a glance about storage ideas etc...speaking of, maybe instead of the (oily) rubberized bottoms for the drawers, try cutting a strip of felt for the bottoms...I don't think they will cause any label-harm ;) Plus it can soak up any spills~ *cheers*

I am considering buying two melmers to step up my nail polish storage but I have read a view reviews claiming that the drawers crack and cannot hold a lot of nail polish weight. Have you experienced any of this and do you think the melmer is of good quality. Do you have any other complaints about using the melmers? I am also considering buying an Alex unit but I don't like the fact that there will be wasted storage in the back of the drawers because you cannot pull them all the way out and I love that the melmer drawers can be taken out of the unit. Any input is greatly appreciated :)

I'm overflowing from two helmers at the moment but don't want to get a third as then I will have to admit that I'm addicted lol The ones I have most of are Powder Perfect, Femme Fatale Cosmetics, Glam Polish, Lilypad Lacquer, Emily de Molly, Grace-full Nail Polish, Cirque Colors and KB Shimmer plus lots of others :) The indies take up way more than one helmer lol lol Love seeing the collections of others.

Alinta McMurdo I hear ya, as I have 3 overflowing Helmers and several drawers of another cabinet, plus boxes of "to-go" polishes that I'm donating to my nail tech so she can disperse them at the retirement home where she volunteers. By the way, might I recommend Dance Legend polishes? They're an indie from Russia that LeeAnne sells on her site (llarowe.com) and of course at dance-legend.com/en/ in Russia. Buying from overseas means the ship time is unreliable and slowwww (took me 3 months to get my order once!), but they're good communicators when you need them. Llarowe is often out of stock of polishes in demand, but if you sign up for notifications, you get informed as to when launches and restocks happen. Anyway, they have a magical array of TYPES of polishes whose features will blow you away. My favorites are the ultra-chromes with holographic sparkles (not glitter), but there's lots to love about each of their collections. One more thing.... you're addicted. lol!

I don't know if this would help but, when I put polishes in a drawer, I put them on top of an old yoga mat that I cut up. So far (a year later), so good!! :)

I like buying polish off Amazon, ILNP, color club and kleancolor are cheap there and I am super pleased with the quality. I have one 9x9 gift box filled with polish and I am looking to get another box to fill with halo graphics and metallic finishes and then my collection will be complete, I put the boxes in my closet kind of for display and to keep them out of the light.

Hi Jess!!!! FANTASTIC COLLECTION!!!!!! Where did you get the stamping plates you show'd first? They were pretty big and rectangular with an entire scene on them. hey you can store all of your polishes with the square caps (Butter London, Julep, the new Dollish Polish, etc.) upside down so then you can read the labels and know which is which!

Great collection! What bothers me about essies is that they started putting the names on the tops of the caps, I wish they dd this all along. I have some that have the nails on top now and it's so much easier for storing purposes. But if I ever buy them online through wholesale sellers they always sell the with the names on the bottoms, so it's a struggle. I wish all of my essies had the names on the top, you know what I mean? nail polish problems haha

pinkabuki I think the name-on-top ones (with a white Essie sticker on the side) are the ones intended for sale in a retail store, and the name-on-bottom ones with the "e" printed on the top of the cap are the ones that are produced for sale in salons!

AngelicaPolished Kind of...it will dry the surface of the nail, so you can touch it lightly without leaving a fingerprint, but you can still smudge the nails if you hit them hard enough.

There are plastic liners that are supposed to not ruin your labels. I switched to the plastic ones and haven't had any issues yet.

Laylal Where did you find them? I've looked into a lot of alternatives and not found anything that would keep the polishes from sliding around.

I got it from Target but have also seen it at Big Lots. It's made by Contact, but it's just regular plastic as far as I can tell, with sort of hill and valley design to prevent slipping and they seem to work about as well as the rubber stuff. I haven't had any issues with it yet. It's also easy tear, so it's a bit more fragile but it's easy to fit to your drawer.

TheModelPonyLovers I'd like to do more "Battle" videos, but I think black and white are the only ones that make sense for me! For any other color I'd want to have 4 of the EXACT same shade to make it fair. Because everyone has different skin tones and colors that work better for them than others, I don't think comparing different shades of the same color would be as fair as a basic Black or White. I might look into doing gold and silvers, but I'm not sure yet :)

I will no longer photograph my collection or discuss how many I have because of reactions. Yes, if I paid full price for every single one of them, it'd be some serious cash, but sales, coupons, giveaways and gifts make up the majority of my collection. People act like I'm starving my kids or something to pay for my habit. *face palm* Other people still act mortally offended because they "don't get it." There are tons of hobbies/collections that I don't understand, but srsly, it doesn't impact me *personally* the way that polish collections seem to for some people!

Polishes never go bad. EVER. All you need is nail polish thinner on the old ones before you use them. I recommend Develop 10 at ulta. It's the best one that I've used.
