Quick question. What is the difference between a pore and a void? They seem to be the same from my understanding

A void atomic scale. A pore is macroscale. In a homogeneous material a pore is a collection of voids. In most "real" materials, pores tend to collect at interfaces, such as grain boundaries rather than hang out in the middle of the crystal, although they are sometimes found in the middle of a grain.
