Overview of a Zero Duratec Engine Upgrade we had in the workshop recently....

Here is a short overview video with Matt talking you through the installation of Zero powered by the 2.5 Duratec engine having an engine upgrade and going to rolling road. All parts are available through our parts website Kit Spares and fitting service is also available.
Parts:
ARP Head Stud kit (Optional, otherwise supplied with new stretch bolts)
ARP Cam Bolt kit / Cam Pulley Friction Washer x 2 / Pair of New High performance Fast Road Camshafts / Victor Renz OEM Head Gasket Kit / Forged 12.5 CR Pistons / Set of Steel Connecting Roads, with ARP 2000 Bolts / Upgraded Spark plugs / Upgraded Twin Friction surface Clutch Kit and Billet Steel lightened Flywheel. New Flywheel Bolts (ARP Optional)
2.5 Duratec 4 Cylinder - Purchased as Brand New Crate engine, only done 3000km prior to Customer requesting Performance upgrade.
Cylinder Head - Fully Stripped, Ported, Polished, Match to Manifolds, Cleaned, Valves Lapped, Spring Re installed, Cam installed and correct Bucket order to support valve clearance.
Block - Remove and inspected old Pistons and Rods. Cylinders honed, Cleaned, Piston Ring Gaps checked and adjusted. New Piston and Rods fully assembled and installed into engine. Big End running clearances doubled check.
Reassemble - Cylinder fitted with ARP Head Stud kit, Cam installed, Timing Pulleys and Chain Timed. Sump reinstalled. Install rocker cover and ancillaries.
From producing 200bhp as standard then with the upgrade at the rolling road it produced 275bhp (That is with the porting cylinder head, around 255/260bhp with the standard head).
