Plant gametes are produced by mitosis not meiosis. Spores are produced by meiosis.

Sure, it's an overview video, but the plant biology is oversimplified and misleading. As @Angelo-Rules was outlining, there's a multicellular haploid generation between the diploid plant that produced the flower and the gametes in the pollen and ovaries of that flower. A bias toward teaching only human biology misses most of the incredible unity and diversity of life on our planet.
