Overview of my Samsung NX lenses: 12-24mm, 20mm f2.8, 16-50mm and 50-200mm Telephoto Zoom

Many people believe that Sony introduced the first APS-C mirrorless camera. It was actually Samsung many months before in 2010. Samsung cameras according to various reviews are very good. Maybe too good because they weren't significantly cheaper than the cameras and lenses from much older Japanese manufacturers. Sony entered the market of photo cameras very late too in 2006. But Sony had a history of video cameras and bought the great experience of Minolta-Konica in 2006. APS-C mirrorless cameras with interchangeable lenses are not cheap as most compact cameras. They are bought mostly from experienced amateurs who want something much better than a smartphone camera or a typical cheap compact camera and can't afford a full frame camera. They know the importance of the lenses and that photographers are tight to a specific lens mount. It would be better for Samsung to start with lenses and afterward move to cameras.

Yeah have the NX1 and the NX500 and they are fantastic. I also have the NX Mini which I think is better than the Sony RX100vii

Vlogging vid's? I'm guessing selfie cam is important so i'd go for an NX 10 mm fisheye lense and the 12-24 mm lense

I have the Samsung NX1000 as well. For vlogging, that camera ist not ideal. Autofocus is kind of slow and you can't turn the display to see yourself. Unless you have someone to film you, I don't recommend the NX1000. I changed to a Canon G7X MK2, which is mich better!

What happened to showing the camera or a lens on a camera? I wanted to know if it does video. I want it for Scotland and eagle, Wales, Dolphins and otters. Disappointed you never showed the camera a lens is no good if there is nothing for it to go on. Ray K UK 🇬🇧 YNWA.

Hi Mr.Goodman,first thank u for making this video.I really love my NX30.I am deathly afraid of still photography, I'm a video guy.I want to shoot my own Indy films and promos using my NX30.The kit lens has been fine so far but I just came across a deal for a NX 50-200mm lens for under $200.I've never used another lens on my camera,could this lens benefit me with shooting video or is it primarily a still photo lens?

I have this lens (I'm talking about the standard lens which comes with the camera) and I'm not at all happy. It sucks. I use a vintage lens which does a much better job.

+S/V Salty Abandon Hi, it would actually be very good for that, as long as you're using a tripod. The aperture isn't terribly wide so handheld could present an issue.

Raj Nad yes all samsung nx series camera except nx mini :)
