@@gabriellevasilev2537 heyy so this year could be different from that of last year (2023) and here’s what I remember- Day#1 Parents started off at the same time as the students, my dad came to the orientation with me, had breakfast, and went inside the event center. We went out separate ways after breakfast but we did have common presentation events. I believe parents end by 5, before dinner. Day#2 I am certain that parents and students END at the time and maybe also begin at the same time. I hope this info helps but I am sure they sent out emails to your parents when you sign up. Feel free to ask any more questions, have a good time!

@@homehome1472 heyy, thank you so much for your patience with me. It took me so long to get back to you. I am sure you have done your web research regarding this but here’s a useful link: sjsu.edu/isss/resources/housing.php Unfortunately I don’t have more information on this. You will also find their email-id on the website above (international-office@sjsu.edu), please contact here for more information. I generally know that some international students dorm in college but most of them rent a place with others near the area (which can be expensive) or around the city from where they can travel. Houses off campus can cost around $3000-$5000 per month at minimum. Almost the same even near the city. Sharing with others is a better option, even some local and national students prefer that. As per safety, San Jose isn’t known to be a safest place but precautions can be taken (highly recommended) to lessen the chances of risk. As per statistics from data gathered by NeighborhoodScouts- “One’s chance of becoming a victim of either violent or property crime here is one in 31.” Nevertheless, San Jose is a good city with so many opportunities and fun! Feel free to ask any more questions :)
