It’s a household name that for one reason or another has lost a lot of their player base. Forcing people to the game to watch the cinematic or having a bunch of weird twitch drops are cheap tricks to look good for shareholders, by showing login counts and viewership that is largely artificial

This has plenty of moments that pubescent (I had to google it) gamerdudes will love "OH WOW! HELL YEAH!!" but it, like many of their latest trailers, really lacks nuance, or soul. It's always just a short commercial to sell a thing. That will be a $30 Sojourn skin. It's not as bad as the Junker Queen trailer I suppose. As their publisher increasingly demands that Blizzard's business model be immediately and tremendously profitable, instead of a very refined game with memorable characters and levels (game developers at their best paid to do what they love), we end up with a game with lots of bloat. Content, plenty of content. But little of value. My time is money, Blizz. I ain't got more for you in 2023
