I’m a GM1 Mercy and must say I’m very impressed by this Mercy player. I have gold friends that I play with and when they play Mercy they do not play this way at all. Her positioning is very good with some exceptions, and her movement I thought was great and impressive, including that jump rez when fighting the Pharah, though I personally wouldn’t have gone for it with Pharah right there. Great job! 🙌

@@hardstep1177 yeah it is once you get a grasp of her movement. Little less fun since the ga change but it’s still very fun to play her. Once you able to really get around quick with her movement she feel amazing.

@@hardstep1177 imo yes, and this is coming from a guy who played TF2, her mechanics are generally easy to understand and once you learn her movement mechanics, no different from bomb jumping or rocketjumping, she really mobile

1:34 > Frontline Mercy. To be fair to players we're judging, do you know how many tanks literally scream at their supports - particularly their Mercy - to stay attached to them all the time? And Blizzard is basically incentivizing that play style with her bonus to low health healers and her empathy healing. Recently I was Bap with a Kiriko partner and Zarya tank going up against a team that had Orisa, Mercy, Lucio, Bastion and +1. I dont remember our DPS but it was someone like Cass, Echo, or Soldier. During one push, the enemy team picked Kiriko, and Zarya paid no attention to the kill feed and holds W. Needless to say, she gets SHREDDED blowing through both her bubbles immediately, then getting javelined out the Lamp I throw her. Instead of slowing down and playing corners, or maybe swapping to someone with more Mitigation after, they screamed over VC about not getting any heals. I and Kiriko had about 5.3k in a the match. Enemy supports had like 5.8k and 6.2k, more than us, but only because they would yhen survive. To Zarya, she was doing well, high charge, and lots of Mitigation on the score board, occasional kills on enemy DPS. but realistically she was failing her role on team, to contest the enemy tank for space, threatening enemy supports, and protecting her supports. So in other words, if were talking about skill, effort and coordination input to victories output, attaching to the tank is far from optimal, but extremely efficiently in yhe current state of the game.

3:35 Kinda impressed that this player (a) looked around enough to see that the Widow was low, and (b) didn’t try to go heal her when they saw Kiriko TP in. I get Diamond/Masters Kiriko and Mercy players in my games who don’t pay attention to where I am and commit their movement to come heal a target I’ve already got covered, abandoning the rest of our teammates to do so.

this mercy is good enough for gm, has high awareness of enemy sightlines, flys from cover to cover well, and knows when to abuse flying out of cover when the enemy’s are preoccupied and wont focus her down. Also the rezzes against the pharah are top tier.

@@liyang1436 No, this player is not GM caliber. I think they could probably get to plat, but there are a lot of lapses in awareness and poor decisions here. That superjump Rez under the Pharah’s nose was stylish, but there’s no way it would fly in GM. In GM, she wouldn’t have been alive to try it, because a GM Pharah wouldn’t have ulted from the skybox, but even ignoring that part the Pharah could have booped her out of it.

Low diamond is kinda generous. They had really slow reaction time I think they couldve pushed the cart further if they ulted sooner and didnt react so late to heal allies. The positioning isnt that great either but I do not think they did bad. If they reacted faster they for sure would climb

I love how positive you are for these videos. I've seen other OW creators do spectating VODs and they're always more insulting to the person in the VOD. I know for Flats its the point, but if someone does something good or cool, it should be pointed out! And if they did bad you also try to understand why they did what they did, and also discuss (even briefly) what could have been done better. Keep it up! I'd love to see more!

In my comp game last night I was playing mercy. My character started drifting to the left uncontrollably, everything else was normal and not lagging. Soon as that stopped I dropped off the map to my death… My ping was constantly at 30-36 so this shouldve never happened. 😖

To be fair, mercy can get picked a lot when in the air so mindlessly superjumping is horrible. In gold I don't think they're hitting many shots though so I guess it's fine 😅

I think for in order to count “saving valk for OW3” the minute she gets her ult count down from how long it takes to get her ult again. Once she supposed to get it wait another 30 seconds to see if she’ll pop ult and if she doesn’t then she technically wasted and ult because you have to remember she gets it pretty quickly so even if she wasted it she would most likely get it back in a minute or so.

Love these videos! This mercy can easily climb out of bronze! I think you can't get bingo on the C vertically since you have 0 damage and pistol causes death. Edit: Now that I think about it, it's possible, but she'll have to pull out the pistol and do no damage.

Don't think "ground mercy"ing deserves hate tbh. You shouldn't use ga unless you need to, if you can walk, you should, so you can use ga when you DO need it. You shouldnt be constantly hovering in the air, that just makes you an easy target for hitscans and snipes. Position yourself to play near cover, don't hover in the air for no reason, and don't use ga to fly 3 meters to an ally when you should have just walked. Also, the constant jumping is very predictable and also makes you easy to hit.
