Had multiple games today where I didn't die as orisa and dva. Literally the games r on the basis of tank dif and that did is normally cool down management. I have dog aim and it's reflected in the damage vs. but my teams continue to win off me not dying.

Zenyatta is so underrated he's the only Support I've been able to hit a 65% winrate on because he lets you pick up the slack for your awful DPS / Tank, consistently outperforming the rest of your team in total eliminations. Discord also helps lead your braindead teammates into shooting the correct targets. He's the ultimate bad team compensator. Only drawback is that you can't play him if your other Support isn't healing enough (in which case I go Mercy).

Great list. Whenever I play with new/low rank friends, I go bastion to farm the enemy team. Also I think brig is possible, you just have to be very defensive and only play her in certain scenarios. Hopefully small changes coming soon for her.

I think brig will be good this season because lots of KZbinrs are telling people that doom is OP, which at high ranks he is, but that will make bronze players think they can just play doom to win. Brig existing is enough to stop that. Just shieldbash the doom everytime you see him punching lol. The rest of their team already just shoots the tank in low ranks so just stunning the doom is probably enough.

even though the sym buffs are pretty small, i can already feel her playing a lot smoother and faster. her secondary fire orbs take less time to fully charge now which pairs greatly with how fast they move too. and the fact she can build her primary charge up on barriers is CLUTCH

As someone who plays rein I feel like it's a slap in the face. You use your shield to mitigate damage or get healed back up after you swing. Now it gives a hero unlimited ammo and ramps up the damage. Rein is already counterd by anything that shoots from afar, is on a highground has mobility or speedboost or have vertical mobility or knockback or a slow ability. It feels like anything you do against sym just makes her stronger. You basically have to stand there and shield and hope to god someone kills her after you swing twice and your 100 hp. You use your shield and your hp pool to traverse distance do you can swing and not instantly die because you used all your shield to get there. Now the 1 thing that saves you just makes a hero even stronger.

The sad part is, that this tierlist is accurate. The sad part is that if you don't hit every cooldown perfectly on ana you are thrown into the don't bother category. Hog remains unchanged, Doomfist gets gigabuffed, bastion who was already viable enough to be played in top 500 got a buff to his turret form, tracer gets buffed while genji gets nerfed because of there being not enough cc abilities to stop him. What the hell is wrong with the Devs. If you look at this tierlist does the game look fun? No, not at all. They 'buff' junkerqueen's survivability, a hero supposedly self healing. Hog heals literally 4x as much damage, mitigates damage, has a 1shot ability on cooldown and junkerqueen's hitbox gets bigger. Junkerqueen gets her bleeds up and then it just gets cleansed. They change the trajectory of the tool that's supposed to get bleed damage with the knife making it harder to hit multiple people by pulling the knife back. They 'nerf sojourn' by making her do more damage with primary fire and still giving her the 1shot with damage boost. They buff sym with infinite ammo so now when you play rein you have to swap because you just get melted or give her infinite ammo. They give us a tank that's supposed to pull down airial targets that has basically 0 vertical range. I don't get the balancing team.. do they play the game themselfs? Are they all 1tricks and all play sojourn or roadhog? Do they only look at numbers?

as someone who one tricked her to high plat, she is honestly extremely bad. ive expanded my hero pool and honestly for most purposes that arent dealing with ball, winston, rein, dva, tracer, and sombra, (and maybe doom with countercharge) shes extremely weak due to her hard limited low heal per second on multiple packs and is too fragile most of the time to follow someone deeper into a fight to support them with a constant inspire uptime most of the time if you want to play brig you would get more done just by playing either lucio or kiriko instead since they fill a lot of the holes brig leaves or outright do her job better (kiriko is a much better protector than brig, beat and kitsune are both better than rally for engaging or sustaining, heal aura is better than inspire by a lot, kiriko has better targeted burst healing and safer high damage output, etc)

It really is interesting looking at your list and comparing it to what I’ve seen in those ranks. As you said, Brigitte just doesn’t work out. Even with a team that should stick together, they all just end up running away. The inside circular Busan map is one of the few where I can get her to work really well. Mercy is soooo dependent on my team. If I have a decent team, my Mercy play increases by a ton. I can move around, fly between my teammates, damage boost a lot of the time, etc. If my team is bad, I barely do much of anything and either have to constantly heal my tank or even shoot people down myself. It’s exhausting. :/ Very much feel that with Zenyatta. Hard to use with a team that doesn’t protect me. Moira just feels good to play. If I want to carry my team, I always know that I can swap to her. I’m just now realizing how good Reaper and Bastion are in this current meta. I’ve been trying to use them recently, and it’s been so much easier to win games with them than without. Loads of damage pretty easily. Same goes for Roadhog. Easy kills all-around. Yeah, they might have over-buffed Doomfist. He’s quite strong now.😅

I think Hog and Doomfist are massively overrated in low ranks. One thing that's so easy to exploit with those is that they go off on weird angles that supports can't cover so if you make them overextend, you can punish that. Extra points if you get them to tilt on their own team.

I'm seeing a lot of tanks not know what to do against hog, and desperately pick Orisa. Sombra works really well to say screw the hog, at least in my experience. A sorta tag team experience if your tank isnt making space.

Try picking up Bap and switch to brig if you're other healer is healing enough but you need that extra defense - If you play both bap and brig climbing, i think you'll get out of silver easily

Also, I think Ramattra is gonna need to have his slow reach much higher, or it be able to impact walls and ceilings for activation... I also think his barrier should deal damage, debuff, or a repulsion effect by passing through it (repulsion on contact with the outside facing part of the barrier, and on contact with the inside of the barrier (ramattra facing side) just forces them through to the other side which would then repulse them. Especially since his barrier is different then the rest, it should act that way too. Image a discord debuff on pass through XD busted haha

@@Siks7Ate9 going kiriko against an ana is one of the few joys i have left as support nowadays, but i hate hog on the enemy and my own team. i get hooked from narnia and i'm forced to healbot because he gets too low too fast. just all around unfun character from either side. tangent, but i wanted to try out ramattra yesterday and kept having to switch to dva (the only tank im good at) because i ran into hogs every other game and don't know how to play ram yet. hog players are literal fun ruiners 😭

i think hanzo (widow too) benefits a lot from people having bad movement/positioning/awareness. sometimes hanzo just spams at a choke at gets multiple kills off it, kinda like junkrat but not as insane. He could be moved up a bit for sure, how often do you see sombras carrying low rank games as opposed to hanzo? could just be pick rate but still

Yo... so my experience always seems to be contrary to what people say (my Boi Carlos who swore solo Q is easy "just play tracer" "dude, ill get you to masters/GM in a day or two" proceeds to rage quit after 3 matches and throw my controller... top 500 on tracer until he stopped playing. He could of done it but said im on hard mode, make a new account. You're shit's cursed). I ran you through an example so you know what I meant by contrary. I've had NOTHING but Pharah, Echo, Hog, Ana, and now bastion since hes been added... like, as you went down the list of "you should be good" I was like NOOOOO WAY, I had to stop playing Doom at gold 4 Cause the sleeps. They started at silver 2. Fuck, if I had a PC or laptop to record the bullshit I endure... I got a capture device (Carlos gave it to me lol) and my laptop broke, and haven't been able to afford a decent laptop (let alone a pc) for years! Dark times in the kingdom lol.

I don't know if I would place Reaper as an S-Tier in damage. I main him when running DPS but anytime I see him on the other team he's among the easiest to counter. There's plenty of options for insta-killing him that are made easier since his kit requires him to be in your face. Roadhog hook, Sigma rock, Ana sleep + anti-heal, Orisa javelin, or a hidden Torbjorn turret in the backline. Even easier if you know how to bait out his wraith form so that he doesn't have an escape.

Out of every content creator you have the best understanding the of the experience of metal rank players. This tier list is so extremely accurate. I get so board of seeing most of the S Tier and A tier characters in all my games. I do think Tracer should be higher. Even though she takes a little more skill she has dominated many of my games this season. The single most impactful pick if played well. Brig is also totally useless at metal ranks and probably always will be. Her positioning is just too teamwork dependent.

Doomfist is exactly as you described. He can be an absolute metal press because people won’t know fully how to deal with him. He does, however take more skill than the other tanks to get value out of, maybe other than sigma. Especially compared to hog, whose mechanical skill boils down to “hit hook, click the shooty button” and then walking away with breather. Although the skill argument for doom decreases the lower the rank because he has to deal with less coordination which means a lesser threat.

I’m a lowly gold dva so I’m probably missing something but I feel like Mei being re-enabled was a huge issue for dva and led to a very similar issue as the Winston Reaper one where every time I pick her they inevitably swap to Mei and just make their mission to stick to the supports and trap me and force a swap. I figure I must be missing something since I haven’t seen it mentioned on any tier lists made post mid-season patch but it really feels like once she starts to slow you, you have no way of escaping and end up hard forced into a swap and that gutted dva’s versatility

You're not lowly! I'd say the difference between Reaper/Bastion and Mei is the difference of Range. Reaper can TP on to you and chase you as a tank, Bastion has good range - so these guys can be oppressive for tanks anytime they're on the field. For Mei, she has no mobility and no real reach (her icicles are nowhere near as threatening to tanks) so it's much more doable to avoid her. Especially if you walk towards her, then use mobility cooldowns to run away when in danger. You do that against the S tier tank busters and they will still finish you off afterwards

I guess it mostly feels that way because having her dedicate to peeling for my dive targets makes me feel offensively checked and once the slow starts to kick in it becomes harder to boost out, especially if they hold the wall specifically for trapping me. I probably just need to work on the match-up more and get comfortable but DM not working against her slow contributes as well and feels like a mini-Zarya situation

Play keep-away vs Mei. You don't want to get hit by the freeze as it makes using boosters much harder. If she's on the supports, farm ult on the tank. If she moves closer to the tank, attack where she isn't. You have mobility on your side. Take advantage of it.

@@SVBOW I feel like you're not giving enough credit to Mei here 🤔 she can isolate tanks, deal good damage from afar (150 damage per headshot on a tank is still good damage especially against those who don't have a shield like Hog or Orisa), she has two ways to block most of their ults, she has a great ult to counter most tanks, and she has self heal. You say she lacks mobility but the vast majority of tanks play from up close where she will be extremely dangerous for them, and she can deal easily with Orisa from afar. The two only tanks that will cause Mei huge issues are Zarya (because bubble cleanses everything and she outdamages by a lot) and Sigma who can protect himself from the long range poke easily and who can also deal with you from up close (with rock, and playing around his shield) Other than those two Mei is a really good pick against almost all tanks and if she doesn't work it'll be most probably because of the dps matchup (like a Pharah for example) rather than because of the tanks. Still, she's an extremely solid pick in most cases.

High plat - diamond is where people really start to shine although not as consistently. It's a heavily contested skill tier where you see all sorts of crazy stuff.

How to play brig in metal ranks 1. Whip shot on cd to maximize passive healing 2. Throw armor packs at your dps players so they don't cry. 3. Stay next to your healer so you can protect them 4. Spam group up until at least 3 people r with u then ult. 5. Shield bash away from tanks so u don't die. 6. Lose Sr anyways because support impact means nothing unless ur dps flank Moira which only works until plat.
