6:05 Everyone is saying how "Real life is not like the stories our father told us!" line gets them in the feels. For me it's how Hanzo looks at Genji. He looks heartbroken at the sight of what he did to his younger brother. I'm an older brother to one younger brother as well. Putting myself in Hanzo's shoes I can understand the conflict he has. This cinematic is beautiful at expressing a lot with just the word "Genji".

Yeah I stopped playing was waiting on that but finding out they canceled it and we’re stuck with the same bs game. It’s just not the same. They had respect and admiration for the community in ow and for ow2 it was cash grabs and no respect. I used to be a top 500 player but I already started taking my leave and just decided that this game isn’t going into the right direction like other games. I’m honestly enjoying not having to feel entitled to grind a game that they don’t obviously care about anymore. They do good animations but besides that things change.

It’s January 2024. For some reason, I wanted to watch this animated short again. What a nostalgia trip. Playing Overwatch back in High School with my buddies 6 years ago are some of the best memories I have. I remember my first set of golden guns, my favorite legendary skins and dance emotes, and hitting platinum in competitive. It was so much fun. I’d honestly give anything to play 2016-17 overwatch again. I haven’t played since 2020. Watching this video feels like visiting the grave of an old friend. RIP OG Overwatch

I love the line “real life is not like the stories our father told us”, implying that the narrator is their father. This short is so great, it took me so many viewings to notice, considering how great the storytelling is. To think of their father sitting with them and pointing up at the big dragon painting while telling the story of the two dragons just for their lives to play out in that way is incredible.

Out of every short, none of them ever truly hit me as hard as this one does. The way Hanzo's emotions are handled, the way his expressions change... There's so much care put into it. It gives me chills. Siblings are some of the most important things in life, and the way you value them is like no other. You can tell that Hanzo still struggles with what he's done, even after all this time. Hanzo and Genji's stories are some of, if not the best, of the cast, in my opinion. There's so much emotion and a lot of little things that I keep noticing that bring me back to thinking about it. The way that Genji's spawn room line is "Peace comes to those who wish for it," and the implication that the reason Hanzo can't find peace is because he doesn't deserve it, or the way that Zenyatta tells Hanzo that he sounds like Genji from the past - it's all stuff like that. There's so much emotion between them, that I can't help but root for both of them to make up and finally get to be family again.

Honestly overwatch is one of the few games that has a good storyline n i believe it could be very successful unlike other video game movies. Not just that the overwatch community loves the lore. Altho, i think a movie wouldn't be enough to talk about everything, and if some characters were left out it would leave some fans disappointed, perhaps a mini series (one with connected episodes n storytelling unlike these animated shorts)
