Here is a little note, in case you are wondering. You know when he suddenly tracked that place, and literary, as soon as woken up, went to that place, and his mind was all set for that, before the distractions of the bird? That was the Omnic goal, a location that all Omnics communicated to themselves to know where to fight to. They (back when they were still in war), had to reach the base and eradicate that watchpoint and humanity. That is the reason he was trying to reach it as soon as physically possible. Then, the kindness and curiosity of the Omnics, which were built to behave like the concept of Echo (concept of Robots learning as they advanced within their seemingly infinite life) struck Bastion as soon as he was distracted by the "thoughts" of going to war. Bastion was always meant to be the curious, kind thing he came back to be, and now, roams the world in search of more teachings from nature.

Just a lil note for those hungry for knowledge, Bastion wasn't super aware to that woodpecker sound, but rather, was alarmed because it reminded him of the sound of bullets streaking across the battlefield. Even if it wasn't that loud, it was enough to trigger a "core" memory. I totally don't regret learning the lore of the game :DD

I love the lore of overwatch, really ov2 better be a fucking masterpiece because this shit is amazing. I think all the ov shorts and animations are great, the lore and story is so cool and even how they're represented in game is just great. Bastion also happens to be one of my fav heros and how he is introduced to the ov team is great, torb's so great to repair and take care of him
