120 hour Zarya main here, just giving my thoughts. 1. 2:01, That's an unnecessary bubble on the Orisa with little to no value. You could have gotten that 40 charge through the choke point. 2. 2:02, Another unnecessary bubble on your self used preemptively, now you can't output significant DPS, and your teammate bubble is on CD, so you can't save a teammate who is getting hooked. 3. 3:10, Genji was taking poke damage, but he was not in real danger. You should be taking poke damage to your advantage, and using it for your personal bubbles. 4. 4:08, That Ana was getting dove by Tracer, and a bubble could have really helped her out, but your bubble was down. 5. 7:18, Rein was around the corner and had decent health. He didn't need that bubble right there. But if you had waited a few seconds, that bubble could have been useful when the enemy team were collapsing on him. 6. 8:39, This right here. This is how you gain charge as Zarya, whilst at the same time, providing value to your team with your teammate bubble (I forgot the name), you get the 40 charge, and you can provide support to your team. 7. 9:03, Genji was ulting, and he was dangerously low, and in their backlines. When someone on your team is ulting, #1 priority bubbles should be on them. That bubble could have saved him from Winston. 8. 9:26, That Tracer was perfectly fine on full health, she didn't need a bubble. It could have been used to save Rein. 9. 12:26, You bubbled yourself, even though you were around the corner, and proceeded to bubble D.VA when you were right around the corner. Now you couldn't give her that bubble when she needed it, and you have no charge which equals no DPS. 10. 12:57, Wasted personal bubble. When you're at such a close distance to them, get right in their face, they'll be forced to hit your bubble. 11. 13:15, You bubbled a full health Lucio, while your Mercy, the main healer was dangerously low. She died, so now you lost a LOT of healing that your team could have gotten. 12. 14:52, Lucio was perfectly fine, he didn't need that bubble. That mistake will bite you in the arse later on in that team fight. 13. 17:33, Nothing wrong here, but try to incorporate grenades a little more, it'll output you some more damage. Overall, work on bubbles. When you're in the heat of a teamfight, I've noticed that you don't get good bubbles in because of all the chaos. But as you play her more and more, you'll get better at it.

As a support main I would just like to say, don't spam "I need healing" u have no idea how frustrating it is. If u need heals the healers will get to u WHEN THEY CAN, be a little bit patient, press "I need healing" once, it does help to locate where u r but don't spam it, it puts too much pressure on the support. Plus they could be busy healing other people that r more in need of it. The worst thing is when people press "I need healing" when they have full health and r coming back from spawn or something, a support main's natural instinct is to turn and get to u to heal u, if u don't need it then don't say it. Please :)

I got a really good tip from somewhere on how to utilize zaryas bubbles. Use your self bubble for charge and your teammate barrier to save a teammate. Just use this mentality and you will gain much more charge aswell as saving the team, this really helped me improving as zarya

If Tracer is tearing up your team and your counter isn't stopping her, isn't there something you should do about it? If you can't even say "McCree, can you get the Tracer?" without it coming off as bitchy, what can you say? I don't think just ignoring the problem is good advice.

Thanks for the response. Usually I say something like "This Tracer is tearing our supports up." or if it's even more dire, I'll emphatically say, "We've gotta deal with this Tracer, our supports are dying left and right." I try not to call out the person meant to counter them if I can, but in Stylosa's example, the proper thing might be to say "Hey McCree, do you need help countering Tracer? She's messing us up." But the point, really, is that any statement could be considered snarky or toxic if taken out of context. Even if you're super nice about it, you could be taken for being sarcastic/passive aggressive. I feel like Sty called the guy out for what is essentially semantics rather than blatant toxicity. He probably did so because the guy seemed salty in other places in the video, and maybe he was. We don't know his intent. But other people are meant to learn from these videos, too, not just the player, and saying "Hey McCree, can you get that Tracer?" isn't inherently snarky. It could be a legitimate request because you're concerned the McCree is occupied elsewhere or doesn't realize how much of a problem Tracer is being. It could be that McCree is having to deal with something else he hasn't been vocal about, keeping him away from Tracer duty. Sty should have at least suggested an alternative action to take that would deal with the Tracer, as I don't think the answer is ever "just let her kill the supports". I say all this with plenty of respect for Stylosa, I love his work, but felt that point should be made.

um. He is a huge counter to Tracer. Soldier is super strong as well for flankers but nobody does that job better than McCree. Flashbang -> headshot (+ body shot afterwards for 200hp) is one of the easiest combos in the game and will guarantee you the kill against any smaller targets with 150-200 hp. Especially Tracer. And if you have 106 hours on McCree you should be pretty competent with flick shots, or at the very least that bread and butter combo of dealing with flankers. Hell I've barely played 5 hours of McCree and I already feel confident enough to use that combo. Your job 90% of the time is protecting your supports from flankers if they have them. You're one of the strongest characters at the game to do this having a hard CC and a zoning ult, and with medium ranged hit scan to help support your other players dps during the fight you should be sitting back near your supports anyway and not fighting in the thick of things. Even hitting the tracer once (body shot or head shot) will force her to recall 90% of the time. And if she doesn't you should be close enough to your supports regardless to soak up a bit of aoe healing that'll keep you alive. You don't have to be god-like, but seriously, With 106 hours on McCree its not difficult to expect a decent amount of reactionary aim. And even scaring off the tracer or forcing out her cooldowns is worth it. McCree isn't a flanker, he's a counter-flanker.

Hey man! I'm glad you managed to review my clip. I'm a very inexperienced zarya player so thats why you could see I needed the help. I understand that some of my remarks could have come across as me being tilted, but honestly I wasnt tilted at all. I'm not used to having to use tracking accuracy instead of what I usually do on genji, mcree, so thats why i did say im very new to zarya. I can see how you might have thought i was being toxic and tilted but honestly if you thought that was me being tilted then head over to twitch.tv/jaxxmanow and you'll see me tilted :D. Kidding btw, i usually do try to keep the team positive and focused. I will try and implement your tips into my games with zarya or any heroes in general. The reason why I want to get better at zarya is because most games I find myself not being able to play the role that I main which is dps due to people instalocking them away from me not because I don't load in fast enough but because I usually let the team pick first so they stay happy, you would know the struggles of EU servers! So i mainly find myself playing a tank and right now Zarya is a great tank to have in every game because you can do so much more with the team. I mean the title of my streams have "PMA" in it so usually I am pretty damn postitve! When I left the voice channel at the end there, I could understand how that made you think but I only did that because I felt like people were going to blame and be toxic at the end and i didnt want to have that negative impact on myself for when i entered my next game. Also, when I asked that genji to switch I only did so because I thought that a more consistent hitscan would be needed if the enemy team had a pharah. I couldn't care whether he plays genji or not. 11:45 when I showed my career profile wasn't to say "aww this guys doing shit all on genji I'm clearly better" but to show you my career profile in generaly because I realized I hadn't done that yet :D and to also show you who I play and how little I play zarya. You were right at the start when i said "lillo?" "no reply", I shouldve left it. I'm now actually playing zarya a lot in quick play so I get used to tracking as watching this back i realized how horrific my aim was. Thanks for the review my dude! Like the vids. EDIT: I didnt know that you could still get charge when rein shield is still up, I'm doing that a lot now. Also this was like 2 weeks ago and i have improved quite a lot now. Like Sty said just be careful about what you say in coms/chat because you certainly did come off as tilted. Right off the back your teammates are going to assume that you're one of those players that they have to babysit or else you might throw. Like right off the back when you're typing at genji for not responding that tells me that you're already a bit titled because you didn't get to play the character that you wanted and you may be throwing with Zarya. That puts the whole team on edge and starts the game off really negatively. And like Sty said you don't need to tell people their roles when it's super obvious. A Mcree knows that he needs to handle tracer just like a soldier knows he needs to handle the pharah. Telling them that is just a passive aggressive way of saying "you suck please start doing your job". You may have not meant it that way but that's how it comes across. Instead you should be asking your Mcree if he's being countered hard and if there's a certain character that you need to focus on in order for him to be able to do his job. And nothing triggers a healer more then when a person yells that they need healing over voice coms. That's useless information because the healer doesn't know who or where you are. Usually people start yelling that over voice coms when they feel like their healers aren't doing a good job. So overall you may not have meant it but your attitude comes across as passive aggressiveness tilting which really weighs down the whole team. I hope that this comment doesn't come across as flaming. The main purpose of this comment is to help you understand how someone other than yourself may view your comments and how they can actually negatively effect your team and the game.

There's a few reasons why its advantageous to drop shield for a bubble, even if charge is gained with shield up. 1) In a ReinvRein matchup, when prepping for slams, it's important to both maintain the shield for as long as possible, and ensure you Rein is charging ult faster than the enemy Rein. By dropping shield for the bubble, that both saves the shield, and allows rein to get two swings/a swing and a firestrike, which is 8% or greater depending on the number of targets hit. 2) Dropping shield draws fire towards the Rein and increases the chance of gaining more charge. It is best to drop shield for charge when the enemy is not fully breaking shield, as this means it is more likely more damage will come in.

UnskilledNab I do agree, that different sens for different heroes means often more warmup, but I still think it is important to do that, especially if you play long and short range heroes. You can't play long range with a too high sens and short range with a too low sens (generally spoken :D). Does not mean the sensitivity should be miles away from each other. My ingame sens differs by "2" between different heroes (my mouse has 1800 dpi).

I'm a healer main, and you don't want to spam "I need healing..." It's the worst thing you could do. We can see your health or if your critical, but if you want to press "I need healing..." press it once. Also, sty I think you were a bit too harsh in this video.

Sty you made a lot of bad comments here. How can you aim ”smoothly” at a genji who is jumping? You have to move your aim up and down! His aim is not that bad. Also you said ”press I need healing, don’t just say it on voice chat!” and he DID say I need healing before you said it. Then you said never ask rein to drop his shield to bubble for charge. Horrible advice; just search up CANAS1AN and his leaping frog bubble technique. And 80 charge is almost full charge sty, if you’re 80 charge you shouldn’t even use bubbles except for saving team mates or yourself. And you made a lot more bad comments that I cant remember right now. You should have focused more on his bubble usage, there were plenty suboptimal bubbles that you didn’t focus on and also the first grav would have been really good if he placed it slightly differently (so that the rein wouldnt have got sucked in). He could have even solo killed like 3 of them if the rein wasn’t there but you didn’t even notice that. I’m not that guy btw, just think that this wasn’t very helpful for him. Edit: it’s also not toxic to leave voice chat 1 second before the game ends lmfao

The reason why he's jittering is because he's a genji player. He probably had high sensitivity on. So, when the circumstances requires you to play trackers, what would you suggest to someone who usually plays close range agile characters ? Should we adapt it or lower the sensitivity ? I've heard that playing with sensitivity can mess up your muscle memory.

My problem with playing Zarya is choosing when to use the beam or the secondary. Is it true the bean passes through enemies and can hit entire groups if they're stacked? Should flankers be hit with the secondary and bounced around or try to track them with the bream?
