The "Up Close and Personal" story has an insane backstory. Leakers had datamined that the next character would be Revenant, then the Apex team announced Forge would be the next character, which confused the hell out of everyone. After a lot of teasing and even fake abilities being made for Forge, that video comes out and Revenant is revealed, killing Forge. Truly an incredible way to build hype for a character.

The dedication to this bit was insane! They put fake assets and clues into the game code to dupe all the data miners and leakers, dropped Forge in an official announcement, with website updates and all, and then pulled the rug with this video, the incredible Revenant story trailer, and even an in-game scene you could visit that supposedly showed the aftermath of this scene with a death box for Forge that you could loot!

yes, Apex is set after the events of Titanfall 2. something to note is that Ash as well as Valkyrie's dad, Viper, were bossfights from Titanfall 2's campaign (which you saw in Ash's story). The guy who Rampart and Valkyrie spoke to was the leader of a mercenary group called the Apex Predators, of which Ash and Viper were a part of. also none of this takes place on earth like it seems you think. instead these are all on VERY distant planets in an area known as "the Frontier". Maybe do A replay of Titanfall 2's campaign, it might recontextualise Apex for you.

Titanfall 2 connections: 1. Kuben Blisk, the creator of the games, was the main villain in Titanfall 2 2. Valks dad, Viper, was a boss in the story. My personal favorite boss and favorite titan 3. Ash is another boss from Titanfall 2, which is why it shows BT crushing her, like you do in the story

Bloodhound was confirmed to be nonbinary so using they/them is correct lol. Also them and fuse canonically became a relationship after a longtime relationship development over a few seasons. It became canon when the official Twitter page for Apex dropped a short of them both titled "A beast that cannot be tracked" back near the end of Oct 2022 Almost forgot, but Fuse's heirloom in game was actually a gift from bloodhound for their anniversary, apex also gave us a short comic showing that as well. :)

Titanfall 2 is the prequel to Apex Legends, Valkyrie is the daughter of Viper, one of Titanfall 2's most well known bosses. Kuben Blisk is also one of the main bad guys from the game and he's the one recruiting people for Apex Legends including your main character in Titanfall 2 Jack Cooper who is also Titan Pilot. Ash the robot girl is also a titan pilot and you fight her in Titanfall 2 aswell. For context titan pilots are basically super soldiers with insane reflexes, speed, and accuracy.

@@rip1597 I get what you mean but that's splitting hairs lol. I recently beat Titanfall 2 for the first time and had a great experience, I just wish the campaign was another 3-4 hours longer to give us more time to connect with BT. An example of a game that I think does this better is Metro Exodus. It's like a 15-20hr story that's a bit of a slow burn in the beginning and it's certainly not for everyone. I was sad at the loss of BT, but the (SPOILER) death of Colonel Miller who is your strict father in law that always gave you shit through the series. His death bought tears to my eyes because I was given plenty of time to learn the character and see how much he actually respects Artyom and considers him like the son he never had. Metro Exodus will stay in my top 10 games for a long time.

Apex has the "Mixtape" mode, where you can play Control (King of the Hill), Team Deathmatch and Gun Run modes on rotation - so its not only BR now. Also, I recommend checking out the rest of the Kill Code stories (you watched part 1 and 2, so there's 3 and 4 left), the "Meet the Legends trailers and maybe even the Season Gameplay trailers too if possible 👍

Ramya Parekh (Rampart) is an engineer who specializes in weapons design and modification. By trade, she builds guns and customizes them to their owner's specifications. She's known for being one of the best at it, so all stripes of clientele come to her for mods. She'd advertise her weapons and mods herself by using them in "The Guantlet" which is sort of a minor league version of the Apex Games (til she got the invite from Kuben Blisk, the founder of the Apex Games). Fun fact: many of the weapon skins in-game (and at least one of the guns, a light machine gun called the Rampage) are actually her designs. They even have her trademarked "R" symbol on them. She also helped build Valkyrie's jetpack by scaling down and modding her dad's Northstar Titan thrusters. As she always says, "It aint great unless its got 'Rampart' written on it!"

Main Rampart here, in canon Rampart have designed and build many weapons, she also make custom jobs for every wepon, varius skins in game are rampart designs, she is probably the greatest mechanical engenier in the Frontier, some people even say, if is not a rampart is not Worth

Ash lore: Ashley Reid(Ash) was a spy for IMC which is big bad organization from Titanfall 1 & 2 who infiltrated a research team Marie Sommers(Horizon) was on. The head of the research team, Lilian Peck, created the floating city known as Olympus, but it was running out of power. Horizon found a material called branthium which is near blackholes that could the city for YEARS so she went to get some and Ash betrayed her leaving her in the blackhole while taking back the branthium. Due to gravity time distortion(idk) Horizon was stuck for 87 years even though it was roughly a year for her. During this time Ash brought the branthium to the research team, but they struggled to refine it; a few years pass and Horizon’s son, Newton, figures out how to refine it but the process would kill a regular person so the team creates a MRVN robot(Pathfinder) to do it for them(the lady in Pathfinders memory is Watson’s grandmother, and Gibraltar’s grandfather was also apart of the team as well). After the successful refine the first batch of Branthium to use as a power source Ash tells Newton to “Take the night off” signalling him to leave as she still somewhat cared for him, before calling IMC troops to come steel the Branthium by teleporting it through a phaserunner(giant portal used to transport goods). The IMC wanted the branthium as a fuel source because they were losing the war(from titanfall) due to insufficient fuel. Pathfinder discovers her betrayal and shuts off the phaserunner; Ash gets mad and stabs him through the chest with the same blade seen in the video. The other scientists discover Ash’s betrayal and Watson’s grandmother stabs her in the back with the sword From Pathfinder. Afterwards the IMC agents Ash called arrive and the scientists restart the phaserunner sending the branthium through it to a trusted company before causing it to self destruct which created the giant dome you can see in the launch trailer. All the scientists die but Ash survives and the IMC take her dying body and decide to make her into a simulacrum(like Revenant) so she can live on in a robot body, but it is and extremely painful process. During this process Ash’s memories are suppressed using certain codes so she can be controlled more easily and gets recruited by Kuben Blisk to lead some IMC mercenaries in the war. In titanfall 2 we fight and kill her, but it’s not that easy to kill a robot. She gets thrown out and YEARS later Pathfinder( fixed but memory loss) finds her in a dumpster and proceeds to rebuild her, calling her his “girlfriend”, but she ends up with even more memory loss. He asks Rampart for help in this process and Rampart mentions Olympus(the city Ash and Horizon are from) causing her to snap regaining her memories. Later Ash and Horizon encounter each other and Ash mentions Newton(Horizons son). When the next meet Horizon mentions one of Ash’s memory codes causing her to freak out and attack Horizon, so Horizon continues yelling out the codes causing Ash to regain her all her memories and the old Ashley Reid who was suppressed to come back. At first Horizon thought she was talking to Lilian Peck( the leader of her old research team) bur quickly learns it’s Ashley Reid who betrayed her. Ashley tries to tell Horizon what happened to her son Newton, but before she can Ash takes back control and thanks horizon for giving her some “new information” before leaving and deciding to join the apex games. Ps ~ I left out a few minor details since it would be waaaaay too long, hope this helps.

55:00 her dad is actually vyper from titanfall 2, he died some years later in titanfall since we had to fight him in it. One of the greatest boss fight. If you take into account valks age which is 31 years old you can deduce that apex takes place about 20 years after titanfall 2

hey Blaze, i wanted to recommend a Respawn-confirmed-official canon fan-made cinematic (basically a stories of the outlands) for pathfinder. It is called "The Truth" by GoldenLane Studio. It is cannon, and involves Ash, Horizon, and Pathfinder. It also involves (slightly) the 'ancestors' (not really that ancient but yknow, idk their exact familial lineage, i just know great grandparents and whatnot) of Wattson, and Gibraltar.

Bloodhound is often considered Nonbinary, though I dont think its quite that. They are left intentionally ambiguous, and I think it is less so a gender thing and moreso a priorities thing. Bloodhound doesnt strike me as the type to worry about gender, they are more concerned with the hunt and the allfather. Bloodhound identifies as a hunter, and when asked what is in their pants, I imagine bloodhound would say "the spirit of the hunt" just an incredibly minute part of their life. Especially after joining the games. Bloodhound is however voiced by a woman both here and in the game, which is not what I had originally assumed when I played the game at first. But people of all genders have played all genders, so thats not important either.
