I was in a game playing as Echo in comp once and we were in our last team fight but we were 2 team members down, when I saw our mercy rez one and then enemy mercy use her rez too I decided to copy Mercy and Rez our fallen tank (Rein) who smacked down a game winning shatter! I didn't get much praise other than a well done and thanks by my Rein but I felt like a hero that day...

for Mercy having a res can completely swing a fight and you can literally die for the res because you have a second life too. An extra life can swing a fight significantly!

@RayTM i feel like an experienced echo would pick her because that turns any team fight from a 6v7 to like a 7.5-8v7 (depending on how you look at the duplicate) because of the mercy res and the duplicate being “extra members” so to speak in the team fight

Plus, when the enemy team notice that you duplicate someone, they will try to immediately shot you down and if your REALLY bed mercy, that duplicate is over by a second. It s just a waste of Echo ' s ultimate.

3:03 it's not really that imo (as an echo player), walls is actually a pretty good ultimate, it's just that widowmaker is played patiently to be effective and get the kills and you don't really have the time for that with your echo ult, also because you can only get one ult per copy if you duplicate widow, AND you're a super shiny character while you're copying so it's not as if you can really flank or go for an unoticed angle in those 15 seconds without being spotted

My question is... Why is doomfist number 14? Doom is the best DPS to copy in overwatch because his ult can be achieved in 1 punch as is overall the best ultimate for movement, zoning and damage. I thought doom was going to be number 2 and rein number one but ROADHOG!? He can be good but sigma and orisa are better tanks too. Bongo has the highing team fight win ratio out of any ult and a shield + halt makes orisa a great pick. Bro you wack i LOVE your content but i just had to mention my nitpicks about this list.

I think this is a very good tier list and I agree with most of these. The only thing I would change would be Ana’s place. Another healer to begin with breaks the game because of that busted healing. The main reason tho is her abilities. Her sleep is one of the best abilities in the game as well as her nade. Just think about this: you copy an Ana after flying as high as possible and get a fat nade, you now have a LOT of ULT charge and your team goes in. You still have sleep available and you will get nano fast and we all now how enabling nano is. Great video though! You are an amazing creator

It really depends on the situation, but if I'm going purely based on role: Tank: Dva, Zarya, and sometimes Sigma DPS: Tracer, Soldier, Symmetra (I'm a Sym main and can get the value that others can't lol) Sombra honorable mention but it HIGHLY depends on the situation. Support: Moira (raw heals), Mercy (infinite ammo in moth lul), Ana (2 sleeping targets helps the fight 😉)

i disagree with the bastion rank, flying in the air and copying bastion in turret form is a good tactic cuz people dont expect him to be in the air, which grants you his ult by the time you land and suprise the enemy team

Bastion is great to copy if you are flanking or high in the air. Dropping down in sentry mode and mowing down the teams from behind you will easily get 1 or 2 kills before the enemy team even knows where you are

Don’t hate please but I main bastion so whenever I’m having an off-day, and play echo, I pray the enemies have a bastion because echo is an amazing counter to bastion if they’re movement is good and I want to dupe the bastion to show that I am mid-bronze for a reason.

the only viable dps heroes to copy are doom and tracer imo. All tanks can be atleast somewhat impactful in every situation and supports can be good in certain situations (ana and mercy can be clutch)

I agree with most of the things you said but the main thing that I found untrue was when you said sym wasn’t meta. Right now sym is super meta on specific maps like lijang. In higher ranks not going sym on lijang is basically throwing. Still love the video tho.

I take sombra all the time as echo, one of my fav to take. Yes she's gonna be in the back line but what's she there to do? Get a pick, if she picks you as the echo because you flew back into your backline for some healing that sombra may attack and I've had that happen, I took the sombra to defend myself then use sombras alt to turn the tide of the team fight as well

About one point about the defensive ults like lucio or zen, you might’ve forgotten the possibility of echo ulting in reaction to the grav or visor, maybe they’ll get beat or trans fast enough to save their team idk

Not really the slowest charging, more like it takes more ult points( from dmg, heals, or time) to get it. But Moira does put out a lot of heals provided your team is bunched together.

I dont agree for mercy, because the actual reason someone would want to copy mercy is the Rez and not the ult… and when you copy mercy you know that your gonna die quickly because ur in the enemy back line, which means that ur not gonna charge ur ult anyways… so the only thing you might be able to do is Rez a dead tank or a dps that has ult

I love byw as a creator but some of the stuff he says in this video is complete bullshit you shouldn't determine how good a copy is by the amount of ultimates they can use in the 15 second timeframe, its about the imact of the ultimate. sombra isn't permanently invisible and if there is a teamfight going on, if she's decent, she will be helping her team. It isn't exactly hard to press the copy button also orisa's ult is probably one of the best in the game, the fact that it can be destroyed is a hinderance, but if you don't place it out in the open it shouldn't matter.

Big fan of copying Hog. I see a Hog, I’m very likely to play Echo. Having cool ults is great but not being able to reactively use them is a pain. A lot of ults need the right time and Echo just doesn’t have the time. There’s also ult generation issues and survivability. You gotta be able to survive long enough to get an ult. Once you get it, there needs to be a window to use it. Even if there is a window, you need to survive while getting it off. Even if you survive getting it off, it needs to actually make an impact. So, kit is just as important as ult to me and sometimes kit is the play. Hog has no such issues and a great kit. You can flank, copy Hog from a distance, hook and kill a backline enemy, cause some focus on you, heal it up, you can even wait for another hook and secure two kills for free or cause disruption and possibly kill someone with Whole Hog. You don’t even have Hog’s weaknesses during it. Usually you interrupt him and/or focus him down but if they kill your copy, you become a slim flying moth free to escape. Your ult is getting to play hog for 15 seconds and go back to dps. A good pin copying Rein the same way is also amazing but I find the hook easier, the disruption better, and the survivability greater. Still, no Hog means Rein is my next choice. Zarya is only in situations where you can force bubble value to gen a grav. My favorite is to play with a Zarya, have a dps with an ult go in bubbled and it gives me charge to get a grav or Rein go in and we double bubble him and also bubble ourselves as we join him using my grav to get value or it baits out things that counter grav and follow up with our real one. Zarya-Zarya or duo dps vs Zarya is a great combo for a duo that I do when it comes up. You can even send the copy Zarya in with two bubbles of protection who gets to become Echo when killed. The last one is Dva if no other are an option and I can dive a backline. Not only are dives sometimes not possible but typically Dva with no Rein, Zarya, or Hog is going full dive with Winston and that means Echo isn’t a priority but, yeah, Hog is an insta-lock always but Rein or Zarya is enough to justify Echo for me. All other cases I just become a dps without an ult and that just makes her have less value.

Sombra is the top 5 best easily for me b/c the question was is the duplicate good and yes it is and it doesn't matter if you can find her or not the duplicate is still good if you wanted to make her dead last you should have made the question the the easiest character to find and duplicate as echo.
