With Cersei, she learned how to play Petyr/Littlefinger via her femininity. Then when Littlefinger had his turn, he taught her that lies weren't all that bad if it meant protecting oneself or many, and the gist of walking the political landscape by reading a person and knowing what a person wanted before they even said it. Tyrion managed to teach her the art of seeing people for who they are and not by their family or stuff like that. Also the art of patience, she saw how badly Tyrion was treated by the entire Lannister family (with the exception of Jaime). Margaery and Olenna taught Sansa that not every player in the game should be radical when making steps to go forward. It could be said that they taught her a combination of Cersei, Littlefinger, and Tyrion. But, one thing they also imparted to her was to make friends. Friends with power, of course.

@@shataysianelson9414 I don't think Sansa betrayed Jon at all, Westeros is in turmoil, no one wants Danni as Queen, the north won't bow to anyone again and the legitimate rightful ruler is her cousin; a man who proved he could bring people together, isn't selfish, was born in Westeros and raised by one of the most respected man ( and family ) of the kingdom and knows the Northern ways. Sansa made the right decision to let Tyrion know of a better option for Westeros, and she didn't make that decision lightly. Something more happened in the godswood which we were not privy to, something that made Arya decide to head south to kill Cersei; she was to stay at Winterfell to help Sansa . Sansa was worried for Jon and also Arya from what I saw of her on the wall of Winterfell. People hated Tywin when he sanctioned the RW, but no one argues on his reason for it, let the war continue and tens of thousands die, or kill a few hundred and end the war. Sansa is facing the same predicament, is it more noble to keep Jon's secret and allow tens thousands to die, or tell Tyrion that there is a better option and the possibility of avoiding a bloodbath. I think Arya going to kill Cersei and Sansa telling Tyrion is tied to that godswood scene. Danny just got to KL and Cersei first.

In the first season, Sansa was a spoiled, whiny, ineffectual thing, a girl who just wanted to wear nice dresses and a shiny crown as she sat in a throne room worshiped for her beauty and basking in the glory of work largely done by others. She planned to do nothing more of lasting importance than make pretty stitches and lie back and think of Westeros as she popped out pretty princes and princesses. At the end of the show, Sansa was a spoiled, whiny, ineffectual thing sitting in a throne room wearing a nice dress with pretty stitches and a shiny crown being worshiped for her beauty and name as she basked in the glory others who had done the real working, fighting, and dying. Even her one action of having everybody bring the grain of the North to Winterfell for a stand was useless, as it was all over in one night and just had to be lugged back by a labor force that had just been decimated! She was, indeed, hit hard, but not by maturity, just the various and sundry tortures in the only and highly disgusting model of womanhood produced by the writing "talents" of Jerkinoff and Wuss! Think about it; there wasn't a single lead or supporting female character on the show who wasn't subjected to some kind of violence and abuse, with nudity often a bonus factor in the bargain. I'm not such a prude that I get het up about a little sexposition, and I know all too well the perniciously pervasive violence women too frequently find themselves enduring even in our enlightened era, much less in the medieval times deconstructed into Westeros. Yet the resolute sameness of abuse upon abuse heaped onto female characters until there was finally some sort of reap-what-you-sow retaliation in kind against the abuser eventually started undermining the characterizations on screen and the entertainment value of the show as a whole. Even worse, women passing along that abuse to fellow females was also part of their stock in trade. (Brienne was really the only exception to that part of their formula, but even she was presented as a defender of women throu gh the lens of the masculine codes of knights--and still got abused, of course, before refusing to pass the buck along.) The Sansa of the books is NOT the Sansa of the series, and the screen Sansa was anything but a well-developed character who somehow grew and matured. She was just one more little dove set up to take abuse by Jerkinoff and Wuss.

I feel like Sansa had the toughest journey. Her eventual crown wasn’t given to her on a silver plate. It was never in her cards to survive, non the less become ruler. She wasn’t born a heir, she didn’t have a claim on anything, she didn’t have dragons or was trained to become an assasain, she wasn’t the three eyed raven. She was just Sansa Stark. Nothing were in her favors, but SHE fought. I feel like everyone else were given some sort of kick-start into the game, some sort of advanges. Sansa wasn’t given that.

Sansa is a good example. We all make mistakes, which can sometimes be fatal to us or to our loved ones. This is why we must never stop our perception at a judgement. Sansa was pursuing a dream and finally found herself trapped. She was only a child with no one to defend or protect her. She is one of the characters who had the best evolution. I am very proud to say that she is one of my favourite. She survived the worst; rape, torture, humiliation, despair and disillusionment. To finally be the queen of the North. For me, the worst and the saddest thing in all this is that Sansa was blaming herself for being stupid or having some unrealistic dreams...but common, when she first arrived to King’s Landing she was just a child. It’s not her fault that she thought we live in a wonderful place and there are just good people all around her. I’m crying so hard right now. I never thought that a person could have loved so much a show that ended up considering every one of the characters like a family, but I did. Every single character, starting with the worst one and finishing with the best of all, they all mean something to me. @@silviesaskova9437 you are definitely a simp if you believe that Sansa stark is a strong woman, because she's only strong when she's protected by other men, but when she's by herself she is nothing, that's been proven throughout the Game of Thrones franchise, for instance when she was getting attacked by a random people in King's Landing she couldn't even defend herself, so if it wasn't for the Hound saving her, she probably would have been raped and killed right there on the spot, the part on her wedding night with Tyrion Lannister she knew that she wasn't going to be saved by anyone, so she started preparing to strip down for some bedroom fun, but fortunately for her Tyrion decided to decline, but when Ramsey Bolton got ahold of her on their wedding night, she had no one to save her so Ramsey had some bedroom fun with her and she lost her virginity, Arya Stark on the other hand is definitely a strong woman by yourself because she willing to become a warrior to defend yourself by going to training with different men throughout the franchise, even though she knew she wasn't always going to win a battle or a standoff, she is willing to stand her ground, now that's what you call a strong female that I give a lot of respect to unlike Sansa Stark.

She learned from the best and the worst of humanity. Family loyalty, manipulative liars, evil men and women, and hopelessly in love fools. There is a scene just after the long night, during the victory celebrations, where she is watching, watching and learning. Her eyes turned towards each main character, Tormund, Tyrion, the hound, etc. And she was assessing, just as little finger used to. She was framing them in terms of what are their desires, what makes them tick, and what are their weaknesses. And she betrayed Jon's secret. Not because she was acting against Jon, but because she wanted what is best for the North. She knew a day of reckoning may come with Danny. She knew she was not the queen Jon thought she was. And I think that's also why Jon would not have made a good King. He was too noble, too honourable, and in love. Such people are easily manipulated and out manoeuvred.

Some people think she was a traitor to Jon and Daenerys. I don't know about that. Some things have merit like how she didn't tell Jon about the knights of the vale but I think that was cause the offer was from Littlefinger and she didn't want to use his help. She was perhaps tempted by the thought of power and being queen. But she was clearly unwilling to accept Daenerys for being an outsider.

She was not a traitor. Quick recap. Jon took an oath from The North when they made him King. They put their faith and confidence in him and gives them up without so much as a survey. He left Sansa behind to run Winterfell and he's doing things that she knows nothing about....things she can't explain when these people are angry wanting answers. Jon comes back and lies. He says he bent the knee in order to get her to help and that was not true. Again...all of it falls on Sansa's shoulders to explain because Jon fucks off and doesn't answer anything when questioned. I hate that we learned how closed off the North is but because Dany entered the chat that sentiment is erased. I'll say it; Jon betrayed Sansa and the North first. When Sansa saw Jon no longer had their best interest at heart is the moment she took action. She knew Jon loved them, but, he was stuck. At this point both Jon and Tyrion were scared of Daenerys. People who don't see this choose not to.

@@janellejulianajoythank you! The fact that no one brings up that Jon gave up the North after Dany already pledged to fight is wild. What Jon did was political suicide. And it made it clear that he traded the North for some ass since she had already pledged the army. He didn’t deserve anyone’s trust or loyalty after that as he showed little regard for the North or what his people thought with his actions.

Confused how people think Cersei and Littlefinger were great characters and good at playing the game and then say Sansa was worthless. She literally is a mix between the two and turned into one of the best players. Yeah, she didn’t poke people with swords like Arya did, but she figured out what people wanted and what they were going to do, and she beat them.

9822703 you may not have liked Cersei, but she was definitely not “stupid.” Cersei was probably one of the most intelligent and cunning players which is exactly what Sansa became. If you’re talking about seasons 1 & 2 Sansa, then yeah, she was stupid. She was a stupid girl who was raised to become the wife of a lord. So she didn’t need to know anything and she always just assumed everything would be handed to her. After season 2 though, DEFINITELY not stupid, in fact even Tyrion pointed out how intelligent and cunning Sansa had become. Sounds to me like you just don’t like strong female characters. Don’t EVEN try to say Arya was a strong female character. All she did was lurk around and poke things with a stick.

9822703 in what way is Arya more queen material? She has zero leadership skills. In what way is Sansa stupid? Past season 2 what did she actually do that was stupid? Does Tyrion just hand out compliments because he wants to be a nice guy or does he genuinely mean it? Where was Arya smarter? I never once saw Arya act with her head, Arya fully relied on her needle and literally not much else. Also yeah, agreed there’s definitely more in the books, but this is VERY clearly based off the show where Arya did NOTHING but poke things and where Sansa survived a ton of shit. And nope? Definitely don’t just like a character because they’re female. Otherwise I would like Arya. I like strong well developed characters. Arya had no development where Sansa did. 9822703 where Arya has all the worst qualities of a Stark, similar to Jon and Robb (acting before thinking, doing “what’s right” no matter what, and “yeah lemme go stab that”), Sansa had the BEST qualities of a Lannister, and Baelish, and Tyrell (thinking ahead, using words to get what you want/need, planning, cunning). We’re Arya in even half of the circumstances that Sansa were in (by no fault of her own), no chance Arya would have survived. She couldn’t have stabbed her way out of king’s landing. Or the eyrie. Or the Bolton’s. Or peytr. Or the battle of the bastards (we all saw where that was going before Sansa got there. Even though she warned Jon...ahead of time). So yeah, pretty sure Sansa isn’t stupid. She knew a hell of a lot more than most of the people around her.
