In my school district (Kansas) it was K-5 elem., 6 was alone, 7-9 middle, and 10-12 high school

In Alberta, Canada, we have Preschool, Kindergarten, then Grade 1-6 is Elementary, Grade 7-9 is Jr. High School, and Grade 10-12 is High School.

In UK we start at Foundation (the year you go from 4-5) and then year 1 ect. Foundation - Year 6 is primary school (elementary school) and 7-11 is secondary school (7-13) if you stay for sixth form. How does the American system work and do you guys find this weird?

So, what do you guys think about a map that is like 50/50 land and water with a bunch of boats/jet skis? Perfectly round island like a donut, then a donut of water inside but the very center being land. It would be a forest area. I know it's hardly realistic but something "generic" is needed if it'll give us more variety with maps and getting new ones more often.

When I was living in Utah im pretty sure it was 1-6 elementary, 7-9 middle and 10-12 high school

7-9 grade was Jr High School here in Dallas back in the 60s and 70s. 9th was freshman year of high school, but the high schools built 10-15 years earlier were too small to hold all 4 grades. 3,000 kids in just 10-12 at the time. Nowhere was the term "middle school" used here. It's not that way now but more schools and expansions like portable classrooms and new add-on construction made that possible. Plus - kindergarten was more like a day care and not a part of the school system. The plus of 9th being physically located in Jr High was the athletics was completely separated from High school. I lettered in track that year because I only had to compete against other 14 year olds. Yeah, I'm old. And I game. I run a gaming server and I'm not the oldest playing the game. Chaco is my favorite gamer, bar none.

The schools I went to are K-5 is Elementary, 6-8 is Middle, and 9-12 is High School, but my 9th grade football team regularly played 9th grade Junior High teams from a different city. It's the only time I've seen 9th grade be in a Middle School/Junior High and not in High School lol

@@domino52o26 We don't have any names for the years, like sophomore or senior, or whatever. It's just called 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade. After 3rd grade (in high school obviously) you go to University/college if you want to. I think only like 30-50% of kids decide to go to University/College because we have good enough education to get many kinds of jobs.
