Oikura deserved better than what she got. I am glad that later in the novels she has basically made up with araragi, and even lived with the araragi family again for a short period of time. Athough she still insists she hates him when they talk to each other, its mostly playful in nature. She kind of even flirted around with him, saying "If neither of us are married when we are 30, let's strangle each other" I always felt sorry for oikura and I loved her character and wanted to see more of her. Although she probably has the least attention of all of the heroines, she is my favorite. She is the most underrated character in the series.

This scene spoke to me and defined everything I was going through. When it feels like more than just depression; it feels like every bad thing in your life has led you to being comfortable wallowing in lukewarm un-happiness. It feels like happiness is something too great or bright and it would burn you away. It's not that you think you don't deserve it, or don't want it, you just accepted that it's too powerful of a good thing and it would destroy you to be happy for once.

I'm 23, and didn't even start "living" my life yet, i have been alone since all this time, no friends to share some pain with, i'm always in my room everyday just because i don't have anyone to go out with, in fact, i just wanna go out, not an hikkikomori or shit like that. I see everyone around me "achieving" things, and i feel like wasting days of my life. All of my relatives died of old age, i only have my mom and she lost the job recently... Also, i don't work, so we barely have the money to eat everyday thanks to my gran, the only that's left. Seeing her asking why She can't be even the half as Happy as everyone else is, makes me feel depressed as fuck.
