In the Army on my last deplyment, my OWB Tactical belt I wore with my gear - My M9 holster, mag holders, extra IFAK, Old School Canteen (I know we get issued camelbaks, but my canteen never had a bladder burst), flashlight holder and a fixed edged knife. Simple but useful either on FOB or in the field.

The placement of your holster and pistol magazines a little forward to align with the natural hang of your hands/arms is ingenious. I adjusted my belt setup immediately after watching this and a few of your other handgun instructional videos.

Great video Marine. I in listed after high school in 1987-1991. Greatest 4 years of my life. Beats being a police officer 25 years now. My generation used the old Vietnam Era web belts, canteens, M-14 Mag pouches to fit my HK-G3 308 mag cases. I went to an M24 for.sniping. 300 grain magnum bolt action Browning. My pistol holster was the M-12 Bianci flap over. My mag pouches were M-68. I used the M-85 web duty belt. I had suspenders and shoulder pads on it. All black for Forced Recon. Rook sack or butt pack. Compass pouch. First aid kit. Mess kit, cleaing kit, gernades, combat light. My K-Bar on my shoulder strap. I miss my gear. On our Police Dept. We use Safariland Sam Brown belts with a buckle or with out 94. Plane black or basket weave. SWAT we use Condor belts with Cobra buckles and high speed gear taco pouches. Garbage if you ask me.

If you don't feel like waiting on one wrap, you can also go to your local walmart and pick up 3/4" one wrap in a 12 ft roll for a few bucks. Same width as a malice clip and hold up the same and the 1 inch option.

This is a nice clean look. I prefer to have more access to more gear. Running a TRex arms inner with a kydex outer 1.3/4 in belt. With a safariland 1 1/2 in drop. I like a slight forward can't on my pistol holster. I also run a double rifle mag & 1 rifle/1 pistol duel mag pouch. IFAC sits at 5 o clock. Mission dictates setup

I don’t carry a rifle mag pouch when my plate carrier has three spaces for it but in my belt I carry my pistol with holster, chem lights, my knife, edc pouch with medical supplies ,pens , and trauma shears. My flashlight, a micro dump bag, and two pistol mag holsters it’s not super packed but perfect for what I need it for.

This gave me some very well inside on what to put on my duty belt. You mention about dead weight are you referring to too many mag pouches or any other heavy gear that's on your duty belt. I got one pistol krydex mag and 2 krydex rifle/pistol mag pouches combo. Would that be considered dead weight?

Theres nothing out there like the 5.11 maverick belt. Itz very well built. Laser cut system for all your pouches. Inner belt comes with it so it is a two piece belt. But hands down you wont find a better belt

I've had issues finding battle belts that fit. On my 4th battle belt and the Blue Alpha newer tigeris belts is the only one that's fit my 26" waist. Still waiting going on 7 weeks for my Defense Mechanisms belt. That's only the first struggle. Now add on what kind of straps are you gonna run? What kinda holster set up? What height of holster set up? Will the holster fit my build? Mag carriers? Placement? Like there's a ton to learn with battle belt/chest rig/placard/plate carriers and 💩s expensive. I'm over $3,000 in just the battle belt/chest rig/plate carrier game and I don't have set up yet. Anyone else have the same experiences?

When it comes to velcro belts, can the same retention be accomplished but the traditional belt and keepers? What's some of the advantages of the velcro belts vs a duty belt and keepers? I've been told that the velcro belts are easy, but they still shift and come off in places during defensive tactics training.

If you mount your pouches and stuff appropriately where you have as much velcro attached between the inner and outer belt it's not going anywhere. Foot pursuits, resisting subjects, it holds up pretty well

I wish I could get my belt to look like that, mine is PACKED and I still don’t have a couple things on it that I wish I did. Ferro concepts belt, safariland holster, leatherman, plastic water bottle holder (too many bladder leaks), hsgi ifak, tiny wilder tactical dump pouch, 2 rifle mags, 2 pistol mags, handheld flashlight. Even if I dropped the light and leatherman that would only empty 2 molle spaces so I don’t think that’s worth it, everything else I feel is reasonable. I always seem to have one of the busiest belts though

Have you ever looked at the Spiritus Systems JSTA pouch? It's basically a pouch that can hold an AR mag, a pistol mag, and then a small pocket on the front. I was able to take my old bfg micro trauma kit and put the contents of the wrap in the pocket. I also run an old bfg Velcro dump pouch between the Velcro of the two piece belt so it doesn't take up any molle. I also use a spiritus systems spud Pouch which is just a fancy double rifle mag pouch. I hold a mini nalgene bottle in it. It'll hold a water bottle, or two AR mags or even two 308 mags in it.

Always with the velcro. All the same designs, these companies just copy and paste each other. Give me a cobra belt without any velcro that can be worn over any other belt, with molle. I already know how it can be done.

I have a blue alpha belt. i got the worrior poet gen i love it and it looks like it will last a couple lifetimes really great buy spent about 400 bucks with all the pouches bags and medical the gear aint cheap lol and im not a terrorist like they get there gear for free provided by the government paid by you .mf ers.
