All y'alls version of Time To Pretend is my favorite version of that song ever. You have an original from a few years back that reminds of the exact movements and moments of walking home from work after getting off the bus in winter. My walk home was a half mile. Sodium orange old school streetlights all the way. There was something about the quality and nature of the lighting that made me feel utterly bereft and absolutely alone. Lonesome. That yellow, orange light fucked with my head hard. Every winter night - well 5 out of 7 - I knew I would face that trudge home. It was daunting.
