Honestly thought it was a normal reaction for someone his age. He's young, he has mostly brothers. Hes still developing his emotions and thoughts. Things are changing. And I think it's wonderful how you accept him to express how he feels and what he does and doesn't want. It's when they keep it all to themselves and can't feel safe to say what they feel ECT , is worrying. Just imagine looking back when adults and they bring up the story when he once didn't want a sister and all laugh about it. Love you guys keeping it real

I still remember Cam&Fam's video of when they brought home Delilah, Collette's little sister. Collette was not happy about it but now that Delilah is one, she's happy for the most part. Collette was only 2 years old when Delilah was born. I also think Owen will not like the baby at first but then be nice to her as they grow older. I do not remember my own experience for being a new older sibling, my brother acts more like the older one cause I have learning disabilities.

As a college student studying to become a child psychologist: first of all that isn’t “cute” that is totally unacceptable. He doesn’t know boundaries cause you keep babying him. You filming him during the behavior is also unacceptable cause your enabling him to have a violent behavior for example letting him throw the ball at you is an example of not parenting him right. He should’ve been disciplined (cause he needs to learn bad actions have consequences) or at least let him process it in a safer environment cause all you did was pick him up even though he was telling you “no(aka I need space cause I was already processing those feelings)”. One way to let him do so is if you take him into a quiet room and sit him down and let him explain to you why he feels that way and you and him set up a way for him to cope with/ desensitized those feeling. If you let this resentment linger for long then it becomes super dangerous even when the baby is home which i think is happening at the end of the video.

Jessie, I get why you said that and you are entitled to your opinion. But I know these people and I'm certain they didn't PLAN Owen's reaction. They used a film crew for the reveal and just made the most of his strong reaction. If you've watched their videos for a long time you would know to take their titles with a "grain of salt". Their channel is their self-employed business and so, of course they're going to use clickbait for non-subscribers. Most of us feel like extended family and laugh at the titles or ignore them. Consider the source, my mama would say. This baby sister will be SO loved that I expect she will laugh when she's old enough to see this video.

I remember you noting once that sometimes you feel pressure in public to have your kids well behaved at all times as to avoid negative judgement, so I appreciate your vulnerability here. Most of all though, I really enjoy the way you and Matt manage Owen's reaction; he's allowed to feel his emotions, you accept his emotions, he's allowed to express himself, you guys don't let his reaction derail everything, etc. That's the thing that's going to help him work through and process his emotions.
