I am a fan of Owen Mac and the Gaither Vocal Band. They both put this song 🎵, on their last album. I started singing this at 5, and I still am singing it 73 yrs later. People need to hear these songs to know we can have a hope and a future if we will return to the God who created us. This 🌎world is in a whole lot of trouble, Our only hope is Jesus Christ.

*"Why would you not want to go there?"* Here is why I have no interest in going to heaven, Jimmy. Let's say, for the sake of discussion, that some disembodied part of me goes to heaven when I die. I won't be able to see, hear, speak, think, or touch. I won't be able to walk streets of gold. No feet. Won't be able to sing the praises of Him who died for me. No tongue. Won't be able to enjoy heaven's beauty. No eyes. I can't think of any good reason to go. So, I will wait for my redeemer right here on Earth. Just like the Bible says.

It says that the redeemed get their new body right here on Earth, at Christ's second coming. Here is how Paul puts it: _"For the [last] trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality."_ (1 Cor. 15:52-53, ESV) All the best, sir.

But in case you are one of the ones who does care, let me point out that in 1 Corinthians 15:54 & 55 Paul teaches that the redeemed don't get victory over death until the resurrection. That means that between death and the resurrection the redeemed really are dead; nothing about them is conscious. Take care, my friend.
