i was born in 2009 and am 14 now!! i loved this song so much when i was little, i didn’t know the name of it so i always just called it “the firefly song,” not knowing it was actually called fireflies, lol. my family still calls it “the firefly song” to this day. also, at the end of the year in band we always play fun songs like this and at the end of the year last year we played this one, which makes it even more special for me. everyone’s begging to play it again this year
