I had this played at my dads funeral this past April. He was my hero and my best friend when I got older. So hard to think that he’s been gone almost a year. I still find myself in my workroom stuck on a project wanting to call him for some advice. I put my head down, shed a tear and some how work through it, as if he was standing there next to me with that smile, saying, ‘here you go, I knew you would figure it out!” I miss you dad, some days are easier than others but all I know is that I had the best father any son would want and be proud of. I love you dad.

"Not All Heroes Wear Capes" He doesn't fight crime or wear a cape He doesn't read minds or levitate But every time my world needs saving, he's my superman Some folks don't believe in heroes 'cause they haven't met my dad He loves his workshop and rock and roll He's got a hot rod and a heart of gold And you could say he's a man of few words, but he talks a lot within And even though I'm a little taller, I still look up to him He built me a house in the arms of a tree He taught me to drive, and to fight, and to dream When he looks in my eyes I hope he can see That my dad's a hero to me Rust-ridden fenders, and doors full of dings Somehow he can fix about anything I didn't think he knew how to cry till our dog died that year He doesn't always say I love you, but I can hear him loud and clear He built me a house in the arms of a tree He taught me to drive, and to fight, and to dream When he looks in my eyes I hope he can see That my dad's a hero to me He built me a house in the arms of a tree He taught me to drive, and to fight, and to dream When he looks in my eyes I hope he can see That my dad's a hero to me My dad's a hero to me My dad's a hero to me

My dad and I listened to this song a lot. The lyrics “he taught me to drive, and to fight, and to dream” really get me because he taught me those three things. He always told me he loved me, my brother, my two sisters, and my mom everyday, and he always told me and my siblings he was proud of us, even when we did nothing to warrant any pride from him. My dad passed away back in February, and I read the lyrics of this song out loud at his funeral. I honestly could barely get through reading them without breaking down. I love my dad, and I miss him so much.

He die about to be 4 years come this July, he might not have built me and my sisters a tree house but that didn’t stop us from building it out of cardboard boxes 📦. He also taught us to be thankful for everything that we have like food, family and friends, he worked so hard to give us the life he wanted us to live. Countless nights on a computer working. But he always made time for us. I LOVE YOU DAD. Even though you’re no longer here, doesn’t me you’re truly gone.❤️

My dad and me used to sing this all the time and we would dance around the kitchen and laugh and I’d look him in the eyes when it says my dads a hero to me. My dad passed away this July...I cried so much listening to this song again. I miss you dad 😭💔

Im crying right now too, I going to court against my father, to move in with my mom . I feel so bad about it because I know he loves me, but he still is terrible to me. This song reminds me of the times he used to be nice to me.

Even though they have daddy problem doesn't justify their action to dump their hate on this song. You have a problem with your dad, finish it with your dad! Not by dropping dislike to other videos

He's a man of few words, but he talks a lot within. And even though I'm a little taller, I still look up to him. He doesn't always say I love you, but I can hear him loud and clear. He taught me to drive, and to fight, and to dream. My father is a hero to me. My father passed away earlier today.💔 And this is the first song that comes to my mind, and it sadden me a lot.💔
