Adam is something special. I myself am an atheist, but I even find his songs about God catchy and so beautiful. This isn't the only song he's sung about god, because he's Christian. This is who he is and he's no where ashamed to show it. He's not worried that writing a song about God and how he saved him will ruin his career, because that's part of his career. And that's why Adam is special. Again, as an atheist, I honestly hate songs about Jesus and God, because of my views on things, but I still take the time to notice how much effort and beauty Adam puts into his songs,

HOW THIS SONG OPENED MY EYES Growing up and living with ADHD has always been a struggle for me. Despite having a difficult time paying attention, I was always worried about what my friends would think of me once they found out who I really was: a girl desparate to have friends by being someone else. Also, it just felt like no one actually cared about me; I felt invisible and unwanted. I was filled with doubt, feelings of loneliness, thoughts of being unwanted, and voices in my head telling me that I don't deserve friends in my life at all. But when I listened to this song, it was like God was telling me that the friends I made love me for who I am no matter what. It also showed me that even though we're different, friends ARE family. I am an Atheist. But I enjoy every song Adam creates. Every song is cleverly written and sounds amazing. That's what makes me fall in love with this music. Its bright sound, its clever writing, its effect on me. Regardless if it's "Christian" or aimed at another certain audience. If it sounds good, then that's all that matters to me. It's music. Music can mean anything to anybody. If you're an Atheist or another religion, and are uncomfortable with this song. Don't take it as a Christian song. Galaxies was a great song. This song is so GOOD, but whenever he says "God" it sticks out like a sore thumb. It's frustrating to like it and be bothered by it at the same time. Even considering I was raised extremely conservative, sheltered and religious, and have faced most of my worst times because of the religion around me, I can try to ignore it but it's just so hard to do that. To all the people hating and such: This video is amazing. It is my favorite. I am a 14 year old christan and do believe in God and Jesus. I pray every day. And those asking why should God be so great when the world is so bad? Because, here's what may confuse you so listen close. Earth is our test. And the score we get proves if we go to heaven or hell. And this is a personal opinion, I do believe there are ranks in heaven, those who worship, pray, go to church, and spread the word about the gospel and Christ would have a higher ranking, if you call it. Those who believe but don't go to church, worship, spread word of Christ would have a lower rank. And then when you are in heaven everything is happy, peaceful, everything, nothing bad. And if Earth was great there would be no heaven. So I hope that answers your question.

I admire that you pray and read your bible every day, and I also love this song, but I think you might need to look at the gospel a little more. God says our righteousness is as filthy rags, He says that we have sinned and fall short of the glory of God but He gave His son for our sins to deliver us from evil. He says we are saved by grace alone and not by works lest anyone should boast. What I'm getting at is that there isn't a ranking, there is saved and not saved, and to be saved we must put our trust in Jesus and build a relationship with Him. Because of this relationship we will have a desire to do things that please God, but it's not because we will be higher ranked in heaven.

This is so true!!!! I had a really close family member in the hospital a while ago, and we visited him and played this song for him (we were all crying) and the next day or so, he died........ but he died with Jesus in his heart!!
