This idea that giving trans people rights will mean cis women lose their rights is just incorrect and ignores the need for supporting trans people. Within a fair society, everyone benefits. When broken down, her arguments (against trans women especially), don't make any sense.

Good on you, Owl. I applaud you for continuing to go on these news channels and representing trans* people. I'm from the US, and we have NONE of this on our news channels. No one talks about TERF feminists, no one actually talks about free speech and platforming. It's beautiful that both you and Fox are doing this for trans* people around the world.

TERF = Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist. They claim that trans women are not women, which is really not okay. If you are a woman who does not think that trans women are women, you need to reconsider your argument. Sex does not equal gender, and trans women are women too. Promoting misogyny is policing who gets to be a woman, saying that this person is a woman but someone else is not. I don't know why you're even commenting on a video from a channel run by trans* people if you do not believe that TERFs are really hurting feminism.

@@Meadeium That's laughable; trans-exclusionary radical feminists were a fringe movement during the peak of 2nd wave feminism, let alone in the 4th wave, they certainly don't represent all feminists let alone all women.

what I would have added to owl's argument: it is our right to HAVE differing opinions, even if they tangibly contribute to the political, physical, mental, emotional, financial, and so on, health of minorities, but it is not our right to be given platforms where those dangerous opinions will be legitimized and presented as responsible to hold. Giving a platform to such dangerous opinions show the students of that college that those opinions are valid because the people who they belong to are given a position of authority and power. This will directly negatively affect the wellbeing of said minorities at the universities and beyond (gives examples of Milo Yianskpaldpolis university example with what his destructive speeches do to the society of the university).
