Owl notebook custom cover tutorial with air dry clay 🦉

Hello and welcome to my channel !
A new little video for Halloween 🎃, this time theres only one video, it's a little bit long but I hope you like it ! It's so difficult to edit out parts, I'm figuring it out ;-)
So for this video I followed a tutorial from Mandarin Duck on Etsy, for a friend, and made this gorgeous notebook cover ! It is made out of air-dry clay, then primed with gesso and then painted with acrylics !

You speak English so well. And of course, as I’ve said before, I love watching how you create so many varied projects. You glass chopping board has made me pull out one I had in the kitchen but never used because I didn’t like how the knife sounds so loud when you chop vegetables. Yours is fun and colourful...and so easy to clean. Have a wonderful weekend.

Very beautiful, looks great:-). I do have a question so: can you only cover the top side of the book? I could imagine when you open the book, that the clay breaks if you also include the side of the book, right? Thank you for your answer:-).

Hi ! thank you for your comment, yes the clay can be brittle, in the case of air dry clay, so it would shatter. In the case of FIMO for example, you would not be able to open your notebook anymore !! ^^ But you can make a separate clay section for the side, just make sure you check before it hardens, so you can open the notebook ;-)
