You just have elite skill in this game. Even someone the same size as you couldn’t land many bites. You never die from a solo fight, it’s always those huge packs that get you. Crazy how you can raise a Dino in this game for 5+ hours & it’s gone in seconds but I think that’s what makes every fight risky because there’s consequences. Love the video!

Beasts of Bermuda right now is the only dinosaur game that has a great roster of aquatic and semi-aquatic dinos. Mosasaur, Elasmo, Krono, Aquatic Paleo/snake. Only issue with it rn is the archeons (the turtles) are defensive playables but they are CRAZY strong. I've fought things on land as a turtle and rexes don't stand a chance and are better off running. 😭

Having played all three dino games this is how they are: The Isle: Most realistic, best graphics if you have a high end PC, solo play is viable on some dinos, dumpster fire lead dev, horrendous optimization problems, 1h waits for official servers is inexcusable, extremely minimal aquatic ecosystem. BoB: Most dynamic combat, most skill based, best weather system, unlimited growth/leaderboards is really fun and gives you something to do besides just hit adult and survive, by far the best aquatic ecosystem, has tech issues that can cause you to lose your dino without revive, least realistic, no crocodiles, balance issues. PoT: Most polished game, widest dino selection, widest platform availability, quest system keeps your juveniles more active than the other two games, minimal death penalty on most servers, combat is skill based but the skill ceiling is fairly low, severe mixpacking issues, severe hotspotting issues (it's really a challenge to find fights outside of the area around IC), severe megapack issues, there's nothing to do once you grow to an adult except find fights.

2 things i have to say: 1. there is no way you just grab the tropeognathus mid air like this, holy shit mad respect for that 2. how come there is not a single kronosaur? are there really no big once which can threaten a mosa? was trying to grow myself one but ending up always getting killed by packs of mosa anyways, awesome video man, thanks

That's what always happens, combine that with krono rarity as a pick and that's why.

Kronos are just in a bad spot atm. If you come across a solo Mosa you're op and should kill them even with a 1.0 size difference between the two of you. If you get lucky and hit a lunge against Elasmo you can win too, but they're so wirey and difficult to hit you'll miss more often than not. Almost anything else and you're just cooked.

Aquatic gameplay is so frustrating in this game because its so ridiculously competitive and next to impossible if your a solo. i respect your ability to not give up on this tho owl, ik solo aquatic is not easy at all

The issue is that aquatics are so much faster than land dinos that it makes the effective amount of water area quite small in comparison. You can be from one end of the ocean to the other very quickly. Further, outside of perhaps Kelpforest, there's far less cover to hide in. So naturally, fights happen more often and it's harder to escape (you simply have to be faster most of the time - it's far harder to plant your slow, defensive dino against a wall to cover your flanks in the ocean).
