I needed to refresh my memory, and it was evident to me then and now that the Scotts were envious of Martel and Melody. Martel's suggestion to handle the land on their own and not involve the comeback group due to confusion was something Melody should have taken into consideration. It's unfortunate that Martel couldn't see that Marsau was never his friend. Tisha and Marsau wanted to be the Holts. Martel and Melody were instrumental in helping Marsau and Tisha when their business was struggling. What I also noticed in the first episode was that the Scotts took no time to talk negatively about the Holts, especially Melody.
