IF my 4 banger SUV tire costs $120 and my big SUV is $200. How many trips does it cost take for one semi tire + road side tire service? $500 for the tire? Labor? I would say one tire would eat one day's work. The state got paid. The insurance company got paid. The loan sharks got paid The petroleum company got paid. You got the bills. If you net $100,000 per year you are doing pretty good. More than is excellent. You most likely are putting in lot of wear on the truck seat to make more than $100,000.

What company you leased on to? I just became a o/o here in Washington looking for a company to haul containers with as I'm only p/o

@@CustomRigs yhea same here I guess I should ask who dispatches you the loads that provides the chassis.

I'm a little confused here, If they pay that well why are 90% of those container hauling trucks pieces of shit rolling down the road? I mean they can't even use the good duct tape to hold their mirrors together,they got that dollar store brand stuff on the truck. And I run the same area that that truck does so it's not a North vs south. As a matter of fact I just came out of the Seattle area yesterday and I lost count of the number of "3 color" trucks pulling containers. And for the love of God with that kind of pay you think they'd have some type of engine in there that can pull a bit of a hill.
@CustomRigs2 жыл бұрын
Lol yep I agree but like I said it depends who you work with.. most of those guys with broken trucks are savanah and GSC guys with yellow chassis that do rail road containers and it pays extremely cheap. I believe about $70 a run from Seattle just down the street. They basically rarely ever even leave Seattle.

@@CustomRigs I'm going to have to keep a lookout for that chassis color...God knows it gives me something to do while sitting in traffic.

I was thinking the same damn thing, watched a few videos on the trucks from the ports and every single one of the trucks I see are plastic with pieces falling off of every corner.

I pull containers out of Jacksonville FL and Savannah Ga, I rather pull out of Savannah the rate we getting now is stupid and they don't try you like they do otr guys...when I get there you got 2 hours to get your crap out of that container before detention kicks in...

@@toddroszak7325 you need to find you a company, and they are plenty of them here in Jacksonville, preferably a company that has they own chassis, because right now there are a serious shortage of them...I have heard guys waiting 5 6 hours in Savannah for one....I rarely go up there any more because we have a lot of city work now

@Gecko1152 local pay is roughly $350 a load from the port about 50-60 miles round trip. Standby $50 after 1 free hour at customer and port. Rates are cheaper if you lease on. I have my own authority

@@ruskiyify91 a lot easier to learn the ports and how everything works by leasing on to someone. There’s a few brokers like horizon freight system, SPS, PCR that will take you with your own authority.

@Gecko1152 how’s the port congestion over there? Most of the times the ports here are 2-3 hours for turn times. Sometimes quicker under an hour.
