The abrupt and honestly quite jarring switch up between the melodies used in the build up and the drop is mostly responsible for that flat and incohesive feeling of the drop. What he could do to fix it is extend the build up by another 4 bars and gradually introduce elements of the second melody while bringing the drums in to give it a nicer transition and make it feel less like it’s two different songs
