Hmn..Yoruba has a well profound metaphysical science....who ever can recite all these chants like owonrinsogbe must be very brilliant like a computer...My question is these chants the same everywhere Ifa is practiced ? Apparently this owonrinsogbe encompasses lots of ideas on how to cope with life difficulties and especially how to listen to instruction...I actually listened to all the verses and basically touches all aspects of mans life....Its a gift to Yoruba race that must be well preserved ...Thanks to this Baba..

Big Dot , the whole body of Ifa divination system (Odu corpus) contains 16 books with each book having 16 chapters. An Ifa priest may learn chapter 2 of Book 1(ejiogbe) while another priest may know chapter 7 of Book 1. Each priest will recite what he/she learned. Each book has one theme which is why the priests are always on the same page of divination! The greatest thing about this is that the entire educational system is Oral. There are printed books nowadays. Wande AbimBola, a professor of metaphysics must have written some Odu Corpus down.

The ODU corpus is 256 (16 original ODU + 240 combinations of the original 16). Each ODU is a container/chapter and has infinite verses. Nobody knows it all. Every Babalawo must keep on learning the limitless verses until he dies. That is why an ARABA can also learn from an Ọmọ-Awo. Unlike the Abrahamic religions where the leaders are perceived to be infallible.
