This was the first song I heard of yours... I'll never forget the effect it had on me at the time in my life I was at. I remember crying my heart and soul out in my old bedroom. This song got me into "ambient" type music. You're such an amazing artist, thank you for the years of beauty 💙

Another masterpiece from the good ol' days. Owen, someone had mentioned this in a previous video, but I also want to say that as someone who has also been listening to your music for many years, I am also very interested in knowing the backstory of your music. Judging by the titles and the art, I could only guess that you must have lost someone dear to the sea. But this is merely a guess. I know you have said that you will think about it, but I also want to say that please do consider sharing it with us. I think we all like to know the 'lore' behind your music as you did with 'To Dream Is My Only Way Of Being With You'. Keep up the good work. And like always, I'll be looking forward to the next upload. Much love from the Netherlands

I agree. I wish to know the lore of these songs too. He’s written a few songs about this “sarah”, it must have been a lover. Obviously it’s not out business, but it does make the music more powerful when you realize what it’s written for or about.

I agree! Ever since I heard "Dancing by the dreamless wave" I've wanted to know what's behind his music 🎶

I don't know if we'll ever get confirmation from Owen about his inspirations, but I like to draw parallels between this music and the work of WB Yeats, who was an Irish poet. They share a lot of bittersweet vibes, and honestly there is a lot of similarities in the way they approach storytelling despite being different as poems and ambient music :)

The last smile from sarah It was raining and she was happily dancing with the wind. Scream with the thunder and crying with the rain. The birds flew around her as if they know how she felt. Loving him makes her forget loving herself. Him leaving, as if seeing her soul leaving her behind. He werent there. And she dont love him anymore nor do herself. She gave out her last smile

u joking, audio clips are the best part, it's the song telling a story, the mind of somebody fractured by the pain and loneliness
