@@vernrussell99 agreed, and he was never on wwf tv or TBS in the Crockett days. He was strictly from his movies and the magazines to me. So I never saw him wrestle unless it was vhs 📼 tapes. I always thought he was just to crazy 🤪 and violent for wwf. He was escape from NY in my eyes

Ox was one of the greats. There was a small promotion here in Tampa in the mid 80's that had matches at the Jai Alai. Saw Ox in matches with Joe LeDuc and Mr Wrestling II. Fun times.

I first saw Ox Baker while on vacation in Florida in the early 1970's. Ox was quite a scary looking man, but in reality he was as friendly as can be. Though he never wrestled in the WWE, he wrestled with almost every popular WWE wrestler at some point in his career. Whether you liked or hated Pro Wrestling, they should have a National Wrestling Hall of Fame. Afterall, we acknowledge and adore many movie actors throughout our lives. What's the difference between them and the wrestlers ?

At one point the Sheik did turn. he ran and saved Bobo Brazil on TV i forget who Bobo was in there with, it was a team. they had it on the local 6:00 news. and they showed him shaking hands with the Sheik and they were going to team for this match. of course the Sheik went back to a heel. but the announcers were like "here comes the Sheik!!! oh no Bobo is already in trouble" and to their surprise the Sheik turned. not much of Detroit 70s wrestling is available on YT or anywhere. shame. i wish it was.

Ox Baker was ironically a Butcher, he is a very nice person, has a great singing voice, and wrestled in High School. learned from Stu in the dungeon and KO Kevin Von Erich.

RF shoots and kayfabe commentary do the best videos, sadly many of the kayfabes were ruined by delving to deep into the trash elements of wrestling, the drugs, the ring rats, the negative BS that fans don't want to hear about, it certainly went down the dirt road instead of the high road which RF do so well in navigating. They have a Aire of respect for the guests and allow them to talk, maybe not as much as a Hannibal who is great at not filling a silence straight away, having those few seconds of silence allows the guest to elaborate further, it's a shame when it seems rushed, as if getting through the list of questions is the important part and not getting the full story...

I have to agree with ox, I don't get it when wrestlers talk about fighting with fans, they were supposed to be upset, that's what wreslting was, getting emotions from the fans, so to beat them up when they are actually buying the gimmick makes no sense at all and shows how little respect they had for the fans, they really did see them as marks, as targets, they were literally just wanting the money from them..
