OXCART Legacy Tour at Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum in September 2010

In September 2010, members of the OXCART Legacy Team, composed of CIA, A-12, and SR-71 pilots and engineers, conducted a 10-day tour for various intelligence agencies, including Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum.

I did the finish carpentry contract on Steven and Christine Udvar-Hazy's 18,000 sq ft summer house in the Ritz Cove in Dana Point, California. They were the nicest most kind, considerate and humble clients I had in my 39 year career working for the financial elite ! I'll never forget them that's for sure !

It's amazing to me that after all these years, no country or company on earth has been able to duplicate the SR71. You can hand them the blueprints and they still can't do it. Astounding accomplishment.

@jemimallah Satellite orbits are known and thus predictable. By the time any enemy knew an A-12 / SR-71 was overflying a sensitive area it was too late to do anything about it

one question id like to know the answer to... if the d21 drone had the same technology, how comes its top speed was mach 3.5 vs mach 3.3 for the a12?

At 1:02:58ish if you ever get to North Korea you can tour the aircraft! Which aircraft? Russia has U-2 parts and I believe China has D-21 parts
